    The marketing agency world is like the Wild West, especially in the medspa and wellness industry. As a client with limited experience working with agencies it’s hard to know what to believe and who to trust. Some of the top things to look for when choosing an agency to work with: 1. Know your team and who will be working with you. If you’re talking to a salesperson, they will NOT be who is working on your account. In our experience the output is only as good as the team that is handling it so watch out for bait and switch. 2. Ask for relevant and recent case studies along with multiple references. Make sure that the reference is not being compensated by the agency for their positive feedback. 3. NO LONG TERM CONTRACTS. While a long term contract may sound enticing because the investment is lower upfront, this ties you to the agency even if you don’t want to work with them anymore. They may also own the work they’ve completed until you’ve satisfied the term of the agreement. Make sure you own the work that’s being completed and that you have ALL OF THE ADMIN LOGINS to your website’s backend, hosting and, Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console accounts. If you’re running Google Ads make sure they’re being run through an account you own, not the Agency account. If you have any questions or need clarity before you hire an agency, send us a DM.
