This week's #SaturdaySpotlight is on member, Jim Grabowski🔦 When Jim became vice president of Chapter 350 he wanted to do something meaningful for his community, and that's when he decided to partner with their local hospital foundation at Riverview Health to give free heart scans! The hospital gave the chapter 100 free scans and after they teamed up with a team of cardiologists to offer even more scans for patients in need🏥 Since starting the program Jim and the chapter have seen a real difference in their community. 52% of patients who received the free heart scans needed further testing, proving the success of the program❗️ Thank you, Jim and Chapter 350 for providing such a valuable service to your community! We can't wait to see the future impacts this program continues to make❤️

Mended Hearts is pleased to announce that one of our partners, GE HealthCare, recently received FDA approval for the first-ever PET MPI agent designed for detecting coronary artery disease (CAD) in adult patients. CAD, the most common type of heart disease, is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the U.S. In 2021, it took the lives of almost 700,000 people. Diagnosing CAD can be particularly challenging in women, as well as in patients with obesity, multivessel disease, or diabetes, due to anatomical and underlying health factors. This new option may provide enhanced diagnostic capabilities for these patients. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/en7gYJrc
