And that's a wrap! The Millennium Group is a proud sponsor and exhibitor at the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) 2024 Annual Conference, where the future of supplier diversity is taking shape, and we're defining new norms. As a proud Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), we are inspired by NMSDC’s bold vision to reach $1 trillion in MBE spending by 2030. This conference provided invaluable insights into how we can all contribute to making that vision a reality. Monday’s sessions gave us a glimpse into Atlanta's vibrant economic hub, kicked off by a warm welcome from Mayor Andre Dickens. His moderated panel, featuring executives from EY, Accenture, and McKinsey, showcased how global consulting firms are fostering opportunities for minority businesses amid the rapid pace of digital transformation. We also heard powerful insights from the CEOs of Mastec and CW Solutions on what it takes to lead through unprecedented change. Throughout the day, impact labs like Aaliyah Haqq’s session on unlocking growth through strategic connections reminded us that success stems from intentionality and action. Tuesday’s sessions emphasized critical strategies for securing equity and advancing forward-thinking business practices. We also heard from national advocacy leaders, who reminded us of the importance of defending diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), because it impacts all. The Supplier Diversity Exchange was a fantastic opportunity to meet companies committed to driving change in their communities. We ended the day with an inspiring fireside chat with Stacey Abrams, who shared key points on the fight for DEI, reminding us that silence is consent, and we must stand firm to protect our rights. We closed the conference in style with the awards gala, which featured Eric Benet. Congratulations to all the honorees and nominees! We’re leaving NMSDC 2024 feeling energized and more determined than ever to join the movement to define new norms in supplier diversity! Sheri Shafir, A.P.P.
