To know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same®

About us

The Navigators is an international, interdenominational Christian ministry established in 1933 as an outreach for followers of Jesus Christ to help others come to know and grow in Him as they navigate through life – a goal embodied by The Navigators motto, “To Know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same®” Navigators are characterized by an eagerness to introduce Jesus to those who don't know Him, a passion to see those who do know Jesus deepen their relationship with Him, and a commitment to training Jesus followers to continue this nurturing process among the people they know. We are a community of hundreds of thousands of everyday people who impact others for God's glory in our normal pathways of life where we study, live, work, and play. We spread the Good News of Jesus Christ by establishing Life-to-Life® mentoring—or discipling—relationships with people, equipping them to make an impact on those around them for God's glory. Today, the Navigator staff family – nearly 5,000 strong – spans 70 different nationalities, 130 languages, and individuals from every heritage and life experience. The Navigator family also includes those who work alongside and support our staff, whose hearts beat with our same passion to Know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same™.

So you just asked someone to start meeting with you for discipleship. Where do you even begin? The Wheel Illustration is a great place to start! This diagram visually explains how to be an obedient follower of Christ. ⬇️ 👤 How You Relate to Yourself: The Center Hub and Outer Rim Christ: Total surrender to Christ’s authority and lordship is a necessary act of will. For the believer, the “old life” has gone and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17), and Christ has begun to dwell in us (Galatians 2:20). The Obedient Christian in Action: Keeping God's commands in obedience is our outward indication of inward health and love for Christ (John 14:21, Romans 12:1). 📖 How You Relate to God: The Vertical Spokes The Word: God uses His word to speak directly to us, revealing not only who He is, but how He calls us to live and interact with everyone around us (2 Timothy 3:16). This means an earnest personal intake of God’s Word is essential for our spiritual health and growth (Joshua 1:8). Prayer: Prayer is the natural response to God as we hear Him speak through His Word. Prayer not only trains our hearts and minds to know the power and glory of God, but also turns His ear towards action in our lives (John 15:7, Philippians 4:6-7). 👥 How You Relate to Others: The Horizontal Spokes Fellowship: God has directed Christians to build each other up through interdependence and loving relationships with each other (Hebrews 10:24-25). Gathering together as the Body of Christ draws God close around us as we praise Him and encourage one another (Matthew 18:20). Witnessing: God has given believers the joy and responsibility of telling the world about the good news of Christ’s work on Earth (Matthew 4:19). In fact, sharing about His amazing grace is the natural overflow of a rich, vibrant life in Christ (Romans 1:16) Download this full resource at navs.me/47Xcu2W #NavResource #DiscipleshipTool #TheWheel

What does it look like to shine God’s light everywhere you go — even in the workplace? In Boston, disciplemakers like Sophia are embracing the gospel and building relationships for Christ across college campuses, workplaces, neighborhoods, and more. “From being involved with campus ministry to being on missions trips to then getting involved with Gospel at Work, having this group of people who love Jesus and want to be a part of God’s kingdom is so critical,” Sophia says. “I cannot imagine doing life with anyone in any other way.” Learn more about how God has worked through Sophia’s life and ministry with The Navigators, and how He is softening hearts and impacting lives across the city of Boston by visiting: navs.me/4cYGRqM #WorkplaceMinistry #ChristianWorkplace #Leadership #FaithAtWork

"What are you asking God for? What do you want? Do you want to win a few? You'll have to start with the few, and you'll have to be successful with the few. And you can be because Jesus said, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.' No man ever followed Jesus who didn't become a fisher of men. He never fails to do what He promised. If you're not fishing, you're not following. You have to win one before you can win five, and five before you can win five hundred. The world is before you. How big is your faith?" – Dawson Trotman, "The Need of the Hour" Jesus has given us the command to be fishers of men (Matt. 4:19), and to go and make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:18-20). We believe the need of the hour is to follow Jesus and bring others along with us through discipleship. Do you have a story of how God has worked through The Navigators to impact your life? We would love to hear your story here: navs.me/3ZPcGzq #LifeToLifeDiscipleship #MakingDisciples #GreatCommission #SpiritualGenerations #DawsonTrotman

Praying Scripture out loud over your family is your biggest weapon against the enemy of discouragement, sickness, worry, protection and favor. We are called to "pray continually" (1 Thessalonians 5:17), but sometimes busy schedules cause our prayers to be quick and done on the go. Whether you’re driving kids to activities, running errands, or even taking a walk, prayer is your most powerful parenting tool. Use these five prayer ideas to intentionally pray for your children throughout the day: navs.me/3XYf9Gb #NavResource #DiscipleshipTool #PrayerResource#PrayForYourChildren #FamilyDiscipleship
