Serving foster and adoptive families across PBC with comprehensive services and inclusive community of support

About us

The Oasis Project has two flagship projects. The Oasis Project Foster Network offers comprehensive support, holistic services, and essential resources to foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Since our inception, we have over 185 registered families, encompassing more than 450 children from diverse backgrounds and agencies. Our network fosters a strong sense of community through various initiatives, including community gatherings, topical support groups, family dinners, events (back-to-school drive, holiday toy drive, family camp etc.), and education that tackle issues like mental health, health, behavior, trauma and more. These activities create a tight-knit, supportive environment crucial for family retention and thriving within the often overwhelming and isolating foster critical system. Another key component of our support is The Oasis Care Closet, a free resource providing practical necessities for individuals from infancy to adulthood. Many children enter care with only the clothes they are wearing, and this resource alleviates a significant burden on families, allowing them to focus their energy on building connections with the children. This closet serves the foster adoptive community and the general community in need. To date we have served over 2,200 individuals through our closet.
