Redesigning Education & Reigniting Democracy | Building a Shared Discipline for Leaders to Co-Create with Communities |
About us
The mission of The Open System Institute is to build an emergent discipline of practice and principles for diverse leaders across diverse organizations to leverage as they challenge the legacy closed systems. Our vision is a transformed sector that shifts from closed systems to open systems centered on those furthest from opportunity to redesign education, build trust, and restore faith in local democracy. Our education system demands redesign and must be built by those who never had a hand at building it.

Check out these questions from our friend and colleague Jeff Wetzler to engage in meaningful conversation in these times.
Human Potential & Learning Expert | Keynote Speaker | Author of ASK: TAP INTO THE HIDDEN WISDOM OF PEOPLE AROUND YOU | Co-Founder & Co-CEO at Transcend | Former Chief Learning Officer at Teach for America
I’ve been thinking a lot recently about how questions can help us learn and connect, especially in our overheated political climate. In times like this, it can feel pointless (even scary) to try to have productive conversations with those on the “other side” (whichever side that is). On Sunday, my friend and fellow author, Landon Mascareñaz, reached out to suggest that, now more than ever, our country could use some quality questions to ask each other, especially across the political divide. Thanks to his prompting and our brainstorming, here are 5 questions you can ask an “other” right now to start moving beyond division and towards greater understanding and repair. I’ll be talking more about this in my July newsletter and an upcoming article - so stay tuned or subscribe at www.AskApproach.com. #AskApproach
