Really great segment from ABC7 News Bay Area about the soaring popularity of #padel in the #SanFran area and around the U.S. in general. Congratulations Jessica Talbert and team. Between Park Padel and Bay Padel, it sounds like we're about to see a lot more padel courts popping up around Northern California and beyond.

While all eyes in the #padel world are squarely focused on Milan and the Racquet Trend expo taking place there this weekend, U.S. padel pioneer Philip Mintz is focusing on growing the brand awareness of pallap at the upcoming RacquetX expo in Miami. Mike Dale recently sat down with Phil to discuss his unique and storied background in the U.S. padel world and how he plans to make a well-known European padel brand like Pallap a household name in the U.S. and what he wants people to know about the brand itself. So, please have a look when you have a moment this weekend:

#Philadelphia has always been a hotbed of #squash in the U.S. -- both softball singles and hardball doubles. And thanks to Scott Grote and the pioneering efforts of the team behind PADELphia, it was also one of the very first places you could play #padel in the entire U.S. Now, thanks to clubs like Ballers, Portres Sports Club, and Viva Padel & Pickleball, which are all on the verge of opening both #pickleball and padel courts in the area, it looks like Philly might be the new epicenter of multi-racket-sport facilities in the States. Our own Mike Dale recently chatted with Viva co-founder and CEO, Mehdi Rhazali, to learn more about how their club plans to serve the "cross-court-consumer" in the City of Brotherly Love. Here's what you should know:

The 2025 #padel expo season is about to kick off, with the first stop being Racquet Trend in Milan, Italy two weeks from tomorrow -- and dozens of top U.S. padel pioneers and entrepreneurs will be in attendance. This includes Chris Klein of PickleballPadel who recently told me: "I’m thrilled to announce that I have been selected as a U.S. Ambassador for the prestigious Racquet Trend Expo. This incredible event brings together leaders in racquet sports from around the globe, and I’m honored to be part of it. At the expo, I will be speaking about introducing #pickleball to European markets, sharing insights and strategies to grow this rapidly expanding #sport internationally. Additionally, I’ll be collaborating with global padel companies to help them navigate entry into the U.S. market. My focus will be on integrating padel into existing pickleball facilities—an area where my extensive knowledge and experience can make a significant impact. It’s an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of both sports and to connect with industry innovators from around the world. I can’t wait to share what I learn and to continue driving the evolution of these dynamic sports!" The first two editions of Racquet Trend attracted over 40,000 people and this year promises to be even bigger with 21 courts for different #racketsports being set up across the venue's 30,000 sq. meters. For further details, check out this write-up from Mike Dale after his recent conversation with Racquet Trend's International Relations Manager Piero Giardina. And if you're headed to Milan for Racquet Trend, please let us know in the comments below.
