🤩 BIG NEWS! 🤩
In collaboration with Springfield Education Association and Springfield District 186 we are THRILLED to host an in-person summer book study on Lindsay Kemeny's 7 Mighty Moves! This highly accessible guide, written by a primary classroom teacher, offers the why, the what, and the how of seven evidence-aligned instructional strategies for early (and struggling!) readers. This book offers an outstanding and practical introduction to the science of reading and structured literacy, and is beautifully aligned to the new literacy curriculum being implemented this fall in 186. Don’t teach in Springfield? No worries! You can still join us as long as you can make it in person! 🥳
Thanks to the generosity of SEA, dinner will be provided for FREE each evening; thanks to District 186, your book will also be provided for FREE! Up to 12 PD hours will be available - also for FREE!
Dates: Tuesdays, June 18 - July 23
Time: 6-8 pm
Location: Springfield PDC - 3440 Liberty Drive
Registration: https://lnkd.in/gCNph8Kj
Important notes:
⭐️ Space for the in-person book study is limited to the first 30 registrants (if there is enough interest, we will look at adding a virtual option).
⭐️ You must register by June 9 to receive a free copy of the book. If you register after that you will need to purchase your own copy.
⭐️ You must be able to attend at least 4 sessions to participate.
⭐️ We strongly encourage K-3 classroom teachers to attend, as you are the book's primary audience!
