Reinforced Earth® MSE retaining walls, T-WALL® and more. Rebranding to Geoquest USA in 2025.
About us
The Reinforced Earth Company USA (RECo USA) is a civil engineering design company and supplier of materials for retaining walls, arches, sound walls, and related structures. We are recognized as the inventor of modern Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining walls, patented under the name Reinforced Earth®. Operating as a separate entity in the United States since 1971, we are affiliated with the global group Terre Armée. Our portfolio of engineered solutions has expanded to include several variations of permanent and temporary MSE retaining walls, precast modular retaining walls, arch bridges and tunnels, sound walls, traffic barriers, and other structures designed uniquely for many applications. In 2018 we proudly added T-WALL®, the proven retaining wall system that has been a staple in the highway and railway construction industries for decades. We are engineers, manufacturers, construction managers, and team players.

The Piano Wall™ system simplifies construction by combining a retaining wall and traffic barrier into a single precast unit, eliminating the need for a separate moment slab. With full-height panels up to 16 feet tall, it streamlines installation while providing the strength and durability needed for highway impact loading. By removing the need for cast-in-place components, the Piano Wall system saves time and reduces material costs. It also integrates seamlessly with other MSE wall systems, creating smooth transitions for grade separations and bridge abutments. #BuildBetterTogether

The March Calendar photo from our Southeast Division features a project along Brightline’s Phase 2 corridor between West Palm Beach and Orlando, FL. This high-speed rail extension required Reinforced Earth MSE walls to support various sections of the track, ensuring stability and durability as the train reaches speeds of up to 125 mph. The 168-mile expansion was engineered to minimize environmental impact while improving connectivity between South and Central Florida. Our walls play a crucial role in the infrastructure that allows Brightline to offer a fast, modern transportation alternative. #BuildBetterTogether

Temporary and permanent retaining walls play a crucial role in projects requiring phased construction, such as temporary roadway alignments, shifting traffic patterns, and roadway widening. Our GeoTrel™ and TerraTrel® wire mesh facing MSE wall systems offer a cost-effective and easily installed solution for these applications. Their modular design allows for quick assembly and removal, making them ideal for projects that require flexibility and efficiency. #BuildBetterTogether

One of many Reinforced Earth MSE walls on California’s High-Speed Rail-4 project! Spanning a 22-mile stretch, this section of the project is now substantially complete, featuring nearly 300,000 square feet of MSE walls and over 16,000 linear feet of precast coping. As California’s high-speed rail continues to take shape, full project completion is anticipated by 2033. #BuildBetterTogether
