I’ve spent the last 2 weeks revisiting friends in my ever-expanding core biz circle of “know, love & trust” - it’s always about the people. Period. Dozens of live 1:1s (yeah, a dinosaur concept). Some agency-like-object (harder and harder to define) people, some client-like people, some great culture people who are way outside our “industry”. And, while people talk, talk, talk, “innovation” (the biz word for creativity) & “big idea” (innovation’s quieter second cousin”, I’ve concluded that they all fit into 1 of 4 buckets: 1 - those who have no desire to adapt to now 2 - those who want to adapt but don’t know how 3 - those who only want to adapt nominally in safe increments for job security 4 - those who have an “irrational belief” in real change, are willing to put “skin in the game” as a down payment, and “PureHustle” their way to triumphant change f’real I feel very blessed to know so many authentic people in category 4. Category 4 people are truly 1of1. You know who you are. Grateful.
