RCA First Day! 💙💚❤️🖤 On Thursday, we kicked off the #RonClarkAcademy's first day of school like you wouldn’t believe! From the most epic 8th grade entrance, old-school-style, to the most hype dance party in the gym to an electrifying House Sorting Ceremony, this back to school was one for the books! We are so excited to be back in the building and are ready for the amazing moments this year will bring! LET’S GO! IGNITE THE CLASSROOM! 💚🤩 In July, we rolled out the green carpet for Huntington National Bank to welcome 800 sponsored-educators from 5 different cities to experience RCA’s immersive educator PD! These teachers are taking back hundreds of 1% replicable strategies to implement for their own students in classrooms across #Detroit, #Pittsburgh, #Cincinnati, #Cleveland, and #Columbus! Thank you to our friends at #HuntingtonNationalBank and their 35 corporate and foundation partners for joining hands and raising $2.4 million to send these educators to RCA for professional development. We are so excited to announce that the Truist Charitable Fund has made a $2 MILLION grant to invest in the Ron Clark Academy’s popular educational app, RCA House Points! The grant will support the House System of RCA by helping to scale up our innovative app, an advanced tool for educators designed to track students’ house points, encourage and recognize their accomplishments, and build deeper relationships with parents. The RCA House Points app currently has to close 700,000 users from 800 schools across North America and this grant will allow us to advance the technology to help educators reach even more students. NIKE HACKATHON! Big shoutout to our partner, Nike, for hosting their annual Hackathon at the Ron Clark Academy last week for dozens of metro Atlanta students! Among RCA students represented, there were also students representing STEM Atlanta Women, Inc., STE(A)M Truck, Atlanta Public Schools, and SwemKids. They had an incredible time learning and collaborating with one another on their challenge with inclusion as a focus.
