Our family at The Smilist is continuing to grow! Last month, in The Smilist’s largest partnership, our organization affiliated with 23 distinguished practices among the Simply Beautiful Smiles footprint, bringing the number of The Smilist owned and affiliated practices to almost 100 locations; the number of employees to over 1,500; and The Smilist into a new state: Maryland. Last month, we also expanded to Massachusetts, serving communities in the Boston and Wellesley areas. The Smilist is excited to introduce one of our newest team members, Dr. Dan Kirk, who is a skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Dr. Kirk completed dental school at UConn School of Dental Medicine followed by medical school, as well as his surgical residency, at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. During his residency, he gained invaluable experience in head and neck reconstructive and microvascular surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, corrective jaw surgery, and trauma surgery training under some of the world’s most talented and well-known surgeons. Following residency, Dr. Kirk continued his education by completing an intensive year-long American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery accredited general and facial cosmetic surgery fellowship. Dr. Kirk practices in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as cosmetic surgery, both surgical and minimally invasive with an emphasis on facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Kirk is internationally published and has presented his work at The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’s annual Aesthetic Meeting as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s Annual Scientific Meeting. His contribution to the field of cosmetic surgery has led him to be selected as a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery.
