The Sports Museum

As part of the Young Leaders Council at The Sports Museum located at TD Garden in Boston, we are raising funds for the annual Rodman for Kids Ride on September 21’st. Rodman for Kids provides comprehensive support to youth-focused charities of all sizes—from passion projects in the incubation stage to established community youth organizations to hospital pediatric units. In addition to financial support, Rodman for Kids provides programs for collaboration, professional development, and best practices for our Charity Partners (over 40+ and counting).  Thank you so much for your support!

On this day in 1967, the Red Sox swept a doubleheader in Cleveland to win their 9th and 10th in a row.  Later on that warm July night, Red Sox fans turned out en masse to welcome their heroes home from the lengthy road trip, with more than 10,000 people jamming Logan Airport.  The 1967 Red Sox had arrived.   On this July 23, 57 years later to the day, The Sports Museum is proud to release a new video entitled SUMMER OF LOVE – The 1967 Impossible Dream Red Sox.  The 35-minute video features exclusive interviews with eight (8) members of the 1967 Red Sox (including Jim Lonborg and Rico Petrocelli) sharing their stories and special memories of that epic season.  Acclaimed Boston sports journalist Sean McAdam provides the narration.   To view this exclusive new video on the 1967 Red Sox, please click here: https://lnkd.in/eD3kkCNh   SUMMER OF LOVE – The 1967 Impossible Dream Red Sox is a production of The Sports Museum in conjunction with JCar Productions with the generous support of The Yawkey Foundation.

We have a few spots left on our 2024 Young Leaders Council (YLC)! Our YLC is comprised of young Greater Boston professionals (ages 23-40) who join forces and fundraise for Stand Strong, The Sports Museum’s character development program for underserved kids. Along with fundraising, you will get the opportunity to network with other young professionals and volunteer with kids in our programs!
