Steeg Law is privileged to provide legal services to Café Du Monde, world-famous for their café au lait and beignets (as seen in this photo -yum!) and one of a handful of true New Orleans legacy businesses. The original Café Du Monde Coffee Stand was established in the historic French Market in New Orleans in 1862. Today, there are ten Café Du Monde coffeeshops in the New Orleans metropolitan area, and the company also has a warehouse and production facility outside of New Orleans in Harahan, Louisiana. Steeg Law is happy to shine the community spotlight on the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), which is celebrating 20 years. This milestone is especially significant for Managing Partner Robert M. Steeg, who is a Trustee of NOMA and a Member of the Executive Committee, and is a Past President of NOMA and Former Chair of the Acquisition Committee. When the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden expansion opened on May 15, 2019, with 27 new works of art, one of the pieces, “11 Acute Unequal Angles” by French sculptor Bernar Venet, was funded by Rob and his wife Pamela in memory of Marion, Moise and Melba Steeg. “Our law firm and our family have long been associated with the Museum, and the Sculpture Garden has truly been one of best additions to the fabric of New Orleans in recent memory; it a very special place, and one our city’s leading attractions.” https://lnkd.in/gbZeRks6
