A remarkable story that highlights courage and the power of teamwork. Earlier this month, the pilot of a King Air 90 lost consciousness mid-flight, leaving his wife—who had no flying experience—suddenly responsible for the aircraft. In a moment of great courage, she managed to land the plane safely at Meadows Field Airport, home to Wonderful Aviation. 🙌✈️ With steady guidance from Chief Pilot Nick McLean, Assistant Chief Pilot John Hess, and Del Kienholz, she was coached through this challenging situation, turning a potential disaster into a safe landing. This week, our Nutrition Communications team, Catherine Ann Sebastian, MS, RD, Emily Zorn, Amelia Dibbo, and Lindsey Bartlett, held a Wonderful Reception at the 2024 Food Nutrition Conference & Expo (#FNCE), the world's largest meeting of food and nutrition experts, in Minneapolis, MN. Over 100 Registered Dietitians (RDs) from across the country gathered on Monday to network and enjoy the health benefits of our iconic Wonderful brands. Attendees could “visit” our Wonderful Orchards through an immersive video experience while enjoying delicious bites and sips of Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, POM Wonderful, and Wonderful Citrus. In Lost Hills, there is an artisan group known as the Haas Sisters that blends talent and passion for the arts. Their latest collaboration with renowned artists Simon and Nikolai Haas, named the Haas Brothers, is a stunning sculpture called Moonlight. In this signature piece, thousands of colorful beads were used to intricately weave the tree’s leaves and vines.
