The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, a solid understanding of food safety regulations, and a proven track record in managing production lines. This role requires a hands-on leader who can ensure efficient production while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Production Oversight: Manage and oversee all aspects of the food production process, ensuring products are produced on time, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Team Management: Lead, train, and develop production staff, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to company standards. Quality Control: Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Scheduling & Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands, working closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement to avoid shortages or overages. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Safety Management: Maintain a safe working environment by promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., OSHA). Budgeting & Reporting: Manage production budgets, control costs, and provide regular reports on production output, labor efficiency, and operational challenges. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure production equipment is properly maintained and downtime is minimized. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Engineering, to optimize production processes and introduce new products. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (preferred but not required). Required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling software is a plus.
