  • Early September marked the finalization of the Treasury Department’s new rule aimed at preventing criminal financial activity. The rule now includes some SEC-registered RIAs under the Bank Secrecy Act, which requires due diligence and reporting requirements. The goal? Preventing criminals from using financial planning services to launder money or invest illegally gained funds. So, what does this mean for you? RIAs will need to implement risk-based Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) programs by January 1st, 2026. In short, your compliance department has its work cut out for it. However, thanks to ARC's compliance resources, you can avoid the hassle of implementing and overseeing these new regulations. • On average, tech-savvy firms have a 12% higher client growth rate and 2x the assets under management. Pretty impressive, right? The hours in your day won’t get any longer, but choosing and incorporating the right fintech can help you get more out of every minute. Technology can maximize more than your productivity. So, what kinds of technology typically have the best ROIs for independent advisors? According to industry expert Michael Kitces, three types of fintech give RIAs the most value: - Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. Thanks to automated email sequences and segmented email marketing, you can get personal with minimal effort. - Financial Planning Software. Not only can the right software handle tedious tasks, freeing you up to spend your time where it will have the greatest impact (client interactions), but it can also streamline future business growth thanks to clearly defined work systems. - Portfolio Management Software. Options include features like automated compliance monitoring and communication platforms on top of tracking results and managing risk. Now, what if you could have it all and more in one place? Thanks to our exceptional resources, the right fintech is at your fingertips. All you have to lose is the overtime. Learn more: https://loom.ly/ttgkUdQ

  • Let’s talk about attracting top talent with remote staffing. Adapting, innovating, pivoting– in an increasingly digitized landscape, financial advisors can’t afford not to keep up. For RIAs looking to improve their productivity, boost employee satisfaction, and increase efficiency while reducing overhead costs, it’s a clear choice. However, attracting and hiring the right staff is not always simple. Here are some considerations: → Is your digital presence enticing? Scoping out your website and social media presence is one of the first things a remote candidate will do when applying to your firm, and a good first impression can aid advisors in attracting top talent. → Do you have a well-defined brand? More than a logo and tagline, your brand is the blueprint for client interactions, processes, and the “why” that ties together everything you do. As you look to incorporate remote staff, a brand that can be effectively communicated outside of your physical office is essential to attracting the right candidates and equipping them for success. → Are the job expectations clear? When creating a job listing, include the resources you’ll provide to remote employees and any stipulations regarding time zones and working hours on top of the usual details, like how many client relationships you expect them to maintain.
