Last week we attended the ribbon cutting at Elevate Academy. Elevate Academy is a new career-technical driven grades 6-12 that aims to provide a new kind of education for students who struggle with traditional teaching and learning methods, offering them hands-on opportunities to get a foot in the door of their chosen field in the eastern Idaho community. We also had the opportunity to sponsor the Business and Marketing classroom where they will learn skills to prepare them for the workforce. We may go teach them a thing or two also! 😏

We were honored to be a part of The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB) event with Senator Mike Crapo yesterday. The FHLB Des Moines supports community development by providing affordable housing programs, grants, and low-cost funding to its member institutions. Our President & CEO, Mike Morrison, was an honorary guest speaker and talked about our partnership with FHLB of Des Moines and the positive impact it has on our communities, including the down payment assistance program through the Greater Idaho Falls Police Foundation. This program is significant because it provides grants to local law enforcement officers to help them purchase a home. 🏡

Dan is our newest Vice President /Loan Officer and will work to build our presence in the Mini-Cassia area. 🏦 With over 27 years of experience in the financial industry, Dan specializes in agricultural and commercial lending. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Brigham Young University and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School. Dan’s expertise will be pivotal to the success of our upcoming location in Burley. 🏦 Dan was raised on a small family dairy farm in Vineyard, Utah. When he’s not working, he enjoys golfing, construction projects, working with livestock, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Krista, and their family.
