Since 2011, Bronx Pride has been a beacon of visibility, acceptance, and unity for the LGBTQ community in our borough. Each year, our community comes together with parades, performances, and health fairs, creating a safe and joyful space for all. Bronx Pride is more than just a celebration—it's a movement. A movement born from the determination and activism of local leaders who have fought for equality, representation, and justice. From our youth programs to our transgender advocacy, the Bronx continues to be a powerful force for change and inclusion. This month, The Bronx Community Foundation, in partnership with NYC Council Member Rafael Salamanca, Jr., distributed 100 new Dell laptops to Bronx students at Renaissance Youth Center. These devices will help students in engineering and robotics classes bridge the digital divide and pursue their educational goals. We believe access to broadband and digital resources is a human right. By partnering with local organizations and community leaders, we are working toward digital inclusion in the Bronx. Last Friday, we hosted our inaugural Grantee Luncheon, where over 40 Bronx non-profit leaders gathered to celebrate, collaborate and connect! The luncheon was hosted for our first cohort of grantees who received funding through our open call process last year. The inspiring energy in the room reflected the incredible diversity of organizations and services we are proud to support, from education and healthcare initiatives to arts, cultural projects, and community development programs.
