Join The Dot as we kick off our summer golf series, starting with Sips & Swings at Thr3 Jack in the North Loop on May 15 from 5-7 PM. Ticket price of $10 includes one drink & simulator time. Space is limited, tickets are first come, first serve. Whether you are interested in learning to golf or are a seasoned professional, this event promises a casual approach to try a swing or two. While we rotate through the golf simulator, join other women professionals for casual networking! This event is part of a series, in partnership with Thr3Jack and the Northern Greens Golf Collective to create golf-focused events approachable for beginners and seasoned golfers alike. Why golf? The Dot is dedicated to providing resources to build womens’ professionals' skills, and golf is still a large part of networking in the professional world. We align with Thr3 Jack’s Ladies Club mission to empower women through golf: “We are on a mission to grow the game of golf for women and prove that golf can actually be pretty cool. Let’s change the narrative and break down the barriers - time, money, accessibility, and intimidation - when it comes to golf. Inviting. Accessible. Women-focused. Revolutionary, right?" If you aren’t able to join us on May 15, keep an eye out for the next events in the series!

We're so happy to have one of our ambassadors, Brielle Bierman, CPA, break down filing taxes this week for our blog, Coffee Talk!

Tax Manager at Ernst & Young, LLP

Hello everyone! So I wrote an article about filing your taxes this 4/15 that I thought may be helpful. Not in a tax technical way, but in a conversational way for anyone to understand. This blog post is for The Dot Twin Cities, the women's networking group I became an ambassador for this year. I haven’t written a paper since college in 2018, but I got a lot of enjoyment out of writing this. Let me know if you give it a read and what you think!
