There's a common misconception that an online presence is only for attracting new clients. But it's also great for your current clients. Staying active keeps you top of mind with clients you don't often see, showing your commitment and reinforcing your credibility. An online presence isn’t just for prospecting; It’s essential for maintaining strong relationships with your existing clients.

LinkedIn Sales Nav, a must for wealth managers? If you’re still looking to grow your book, then yes. The primary reason it's so useful is its search capabilities. Pira & I keep talking about it, but advisors don’t have enough of their ideal clientele in their network. This results in posts that attract little traction outside of the advisor community. LinkedIn SalesNav can help you fix that problem. If your niche is doctors, you can search for them directly in Sales Nav. Not only can you search, but you can also apply filters like location, years of experience, and LinkedIn activity level. For example, you can target doctors in Montreal with at least five years of experience (likely having investable assets) who are active on LinkedIn. That’s exactly how Pira and I use it. We find advisors in Montreal who are active on LinkedIn. Then, we create content addressing their pain points. This strategy gives us credibility and builds trust. So, how much does the SalesNav cost? I pay 132$/month for the “Core” version. In my opinion, it’s worth it because we’re focused on business development & it helps us find leads. If you’re unsure, you can try it for free for 1 month. Since I’m already paying for the “Core” version, I can share a referral link that offers 2 free months. You’ll have plenty of time to try it out and see if it’s right for you. Feel free to comment or message me if you're interested in the 2-month free trial!

I can tell when a post is generated by ChatGPT And so do your clients. Don’t get me wrong, I use ChatGPT for my posts as well, and I’m not against it.                                                                                          But there’s a right way to do it. Simply typing “Write me a LinkedIn post about retirement” and copying its output doesn’t add much value. From the format to the emojis, it’s obvious when content is AI-generated. Here’s how I use ChatGPT: 1. I use it to come up with ideas: I type what I do and who my audience is. Then, I and ask ChatGPT to come up with potential objections or challenges. This gives me plenty of ideas. 2. English isn’t my first language so I use it to correct my grammar & improve the overall readability of my posts. My thoughts often flow more naturally in French, so I rely on ChatGPT to help me convey them more effectively in English. What about you? Do you use ChatGPT for you content?

Have you ever tried ‘’Googling your name’’ I did the other day, and here’s what shows up: The first link is….. my LinkedIn profile!! (the second one is Elite prospect for some reason) I played a lot of hockey growing up, but spoiler alert: there’s NOTHING next to “Contract, Salary & More” … I wish! Now, for financial advisors, when you Google your name, the first result is typically your bank’s website: National, RBC, BMO, CIBC, etc. But here's the thing—those websites are nearly identical: same layout, same design, same colors. It’s tough to stand out. The second link is where you can differentiate yourself: your LinkedIn profile. Where you stand out would be on your LinkedIn. It’s where you can build your personal brand, showcase your personality, highlight your expertise, and tailor your content to your specific clientele. So, if the first result people see when they Google you is your bank’s cookie-cutter website, make sure the second link—your LinkedIn—is packed with value that shows who you are and how you can help.

What's the best time to post on LinkedIn?     Having great content is just one part of the equation.   Choosing the right time to post can play a big role in how well your post does.   Here’s why   Visibility: Posting when your audience is active increases the chances of your content being seen in their feeds and being engaged with.   Engagement: Higher engagement shortly after posting can signal to LinkedIn’s algorithm that your content is valuable, potentially leading to broader visibility as a suggested post.   Algorithm favorability: Timely posts that garner quick engagement are more likely to be promoted by LinkedIn’s algorithm, increasing their reach.     For anyone who normally follows my content, I usually try to post between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. EST.   Let's see how this 6 p.m. post does.

I've grown my LinkedIn impressions by 138% in the last 90 days. I am by no means a LinkedIn influencer. But since starting Finnect, I have wanted to build a brand online. Here are the 4 things I have been consistently doing on a daily basis to achieve that goal.
