Hire intentionally. In 1935, we hired world-renowned Industrial Designer Raymond Loewy. He represented a major shift in the way we designed trucks. Before Loewy, the Engineering department created the style for our trucks. After he came on board, Loewy quickly established the brand as a style leader in the truck business. 90 years later, the iconic D-Series design is still an inspiration for our vehicle designs today.
