  • I first met Charlotte right before her 7th birthday, and we were honored to celebrate her special day together. It was bittersweet, as the family had just learned about her first relapse. Charlotte has been fighting cancer for most of her life, and her battle has become even harder after two relapses. Both physically and financially, keeping up with cancer has become an overwhelming challenge for Charlotte and her family. After relocating from Arizona to New York City for treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Charlotte’s family is struggling to cover the costs of staying in New York to ensure that she receives the life-saving care she needs. Without your help, they may not be able to afford to stay, putting Charlotte’s treatment at risk. Charlotte is a selfless, caring, and smart soul. During my last visit with her to the hospital, she said, "Elana, it’s good that you came! Daddy took a coffee break—he really needs it!" Even in the midst of her own battle, Charlotte continues to think of others. She will be turning 9 on October 1st, and the best gift for her birthday would be to help her continue the fight so she can celebrate many more birthdays to come. Charlotte’s family needs $30,000 immediately to be able to stay in New York for her next chemo cycle at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Please keep my little friend Charlotte in your prayers, and donate today to give her the fighting chance that she so desperately needs. Your donations are tax deductible.  This is the link: www.thekccf.org/charlotte Please donate / share so that we can reach our goal for this family. From our 16 year old cancer survivor, founder, Elana Your contribution will help save Charlotte’s life! Instagram: @elanalailakoenig #childhoodcancer #cancersupport #philanthropy

  • Go Gold for Childhood Cancer! 💛 Today marks the first day of September—the month dedicated to raising awareness about childhood cancer. The color gold represents the strength of the young cancer fighters, while the golden ribbon serves as a symbol of their courageous battle. During this special time we have exciting news to share: we recently launched a special camp in Azerbaijan for our children fighting cancer whose lives have been saved thanks to donors like you. The camp provided a sanctuary in which our children were able to find relief, joy, and most importantly, community amidst the challenges of their cancer journey. Please stay tuned for more information about it and photos from this new project. Thanks to you, KCCF continues to provide essential financial and emotional support to children battling cancer and their families in the United States and around the world. If you can, please donate today; your contributions are making a real impact, transforming the narrative for children battling cancer from one of hopelessness to one of HOPE. Share this message with your network to spread awareness about this amazing cause and support our little heroes to fight the fight. www.thekccf.org/donate 💌 Instagram: @elanalailakoenig #childhoodcancer #cancersupport #philanthropy

  • Repost from the U.S. Embassy Baku: Azerbaijani version ⬇️ "Very inspiring to meet Azerbaijani American Elana Koenig and her family. Elana’s triumph over childhood cancer led her and her family to create Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation and to help other children battling this disease in the United States, in Azerbaijan, and around the world. I wish her every success in her important work." – Ambassador Libby #AmbLibby ➖➖➖➖➖ “Azərbaycan əsilli amerikalı Elana Koeniq və onun ailə üzvləri ilə görüşmək çox ilhamverici idi. • 🆘 Urgent: Your Donations for Rasul Will Be Doubled Until September 9th! Last week, we told you about 1-year-old Rasul Abbasli, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in March. After grueling months of chemotherapy and hospitalization, the next step in his treatment is a bone marrow transplant, an expensive life-saving procedure his family cannot afford. Luckily, Rasul’s older sister is a match to be his donor, but without proper funding, the transplant cannot proceed. A generous donor has pledged $5,000 and will double every dollar donated for little Rasul until next Friday, September 9th. This means that each dollar you donate will have double the impact! $75,000 is desperately required to cover the costs of the bone marrow transplant. Rasul’s mother is beside herself with worry and fear for her son. Please click below to listen to a message from Rasul’s mother. As Rasul’s mother said, don’t let this disease defeat him! Please donate at thekccf.org/Rasul and please share this link with your friends, family, and network. Let’s reach $5,000 before next Friday! • Elana's 16th Birthday Wish - Saving Rasul's Life! Join us in celebrating our incredible founder, cancer survivor, Elana Koenig’s birthday. As she turns 16, Elana’s birthday wish is to donate her gifts to a little boy, Rasul, who desperately needs a bone marrow transplant. KCCF just received news of 1-year-old Rasul Abbasli’s desperate situation. Rasul has been suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia since March 2024. At such a young age, he has already bravely endured months of hard chemotherapy. Doctors say his only hope for survival is a bone marrow transplant, but due to financial difficulties, his family cannot afford the procedure. Miraculously, Rasul’s older sister is a perfect match to be his donor. This means everything is in place for Rasul to receive the surgery; all that is needed now is the funding. $75,000 is urgently required to cover the costs of the transplant. For Elana’s 16th birthday, she has a single request: help save Rasul’s life. She is asking for $16, $160, $1,600, or any multiples of $16 donations. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help towards our $75,000 goal. Please, donate today to help Rasul win an unimaginably difficult battle against cancer. Help us make Elana’s birthday wish come true! 💜 www.thekccf.org/donate 💌 Instagram: @elanalailakoenig #childhoodcancer #cancersupport #philanthropy

  • Same Cancer, Same Age As Our Founder - Let’s Fight For The Same Outcome! 💪 Pinar Hasanli is a courageous 15-year-old girl whose joyful life has been drastically changed by a relentless disease, Ewings Sarcoma. Just last year, Pinar was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, the same rare and aggressive cancer that KCCF’s founder Elana battled. The cancer began in Pinar’s leg, and despite a grueling surgery to remove the tumor, the cancer had already spread to her lungs. Pinar faces an arduous journey ahead. She must continue to fight for life and must endure chemotherapy and radiotherapyto combat the metastases in her lungs. Below is a message from Pinar’s mother: Dear KCCF family, Although my daughter Pinar was born in a poor family, she grew up with great love. There was never a lack of joy on her face. This horrible cancer made her and our joy disappear. She misses her little brother. A brother waiting for his sister's recovery so he can play with her, listen to her sweet stories, go to school with her, and study with her. The relentless ordeal captured Pinar's legs, and now her lungs. This has made her treatment even more difficult. We sold everything we had in Azerbaijan when Pinar came to Türkiye for treatment. Now we have nothing but hope! Our inability to treat our child is devastating to us. Please, help us to continue having hope! Thank you and please share our message with all your supporters! Our hearts ache for Pinar and her family. Their story is just one of many. Pinar and other children battling this devastating disease need your donationsto ensure they can continue to receive the treatment that is necessary to give them a chance at survival. Your donations with your prayers are highly appreciated. Please, donate today, and save lives! 💜🎗️ www.thekccf.org/donate 💌 Instagram: @elanalailakoenig #childhoodcancer #cancersupport #philanthropy

  • Little Ughur Lost His Eye To Cancer But Not His Hope! 💪🇦🇿 3-year old Ughur Abdullayev’s life was recently turned upside down. Just a year ago, he was a healthy and happy child, but his world changed forever when he began experiencing severe eye strain and swelling that led him and his family to rush to the hospital. Examinations confirmed this family’s worst fear: Ughur had cancer in one of his eyes. To add to this devastating news, they learned the cancer was progressing to his brain, so he had to endure extensive chemotherapy treatment as well as surgery. At Hacettepe University Hospital in Türkiye, Ughur received surgery during which one of his eyes was removed. He continues treatment to save his other eye and will soon undergo radiotherapy, after which a prosthesis will be placed. The pain and fear have been overwhelming for Ughur and his family. Imagine the heartbreak of seeing your child cry because he’s lost an eye, the terror of hospital visits, and the uncertainty of the future. Despite this, Ughur’s spirit remains positive. 💜 When Ughur’s family reached out for help, KCCF stepped in to provide financial support, ensuring his treatment could continue without interruption. However, the family still faces significant medical expenses, and they need help to cover these costs and ensure Ughur receives the care he needs. Ughur needs help and so do many other children battling cancer like him. Please, donate today to help us help them! 🎗️ www.thekccf.org/donate 💌 #kccf #elanalailakoenig #childhoodcancer #cancersupport #cancercommunity #cancersurvivor #cancerfree #cancerfighter #awareness #attackingcancer #giveback #makeadifference #philanthropy #peopletv #peoplemagazine #donate #cancer #pediatriccancer #pediatriccancerfoundation #pediatriccancerawareness #childhoodcancerawareness #helpcancerpatients #raisefunds

  • Zariah is six months cancer-free! 🥳 Zariah’s cancer battle has been an incredibly long journey that began when she was just four months old. Zariah was initially diagnosed with cancer in her eye. She and her family had to make countless trips from their home in the Cayman Islands to New York for chemotherapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). The treatments compromised her vision, but they were relieved when she was told the treatment had worked and she had been cancer-free. Then, five years later, Zariah and her family faced the unimaginable when they received news that cancer had come back, this time in Zariah’s leg. They had to return to New York and MSKCC and begin the nightmare of cancer treatment all over again. But this time, the treatment was even more aggressive – Zariah was on life support for a long time – and her family and doctors did not think she would make it. We were there every step of the way, providing financial and emotional support to ensure they never felt alone in this treacherous battle against cancer. Against all odds, Zariah put up her most powerful fight and she extraordinarily conquered cancer once again. Now, recent scans show amazing news — Zariah is officially six months cancer-free! When KCCF heard this news, we knew it called for a celebration. We met with Zariah, showered her with toys and her favorite food, and spent time with her. She even came to watch Elana's opera performance! She can now fly back home in peace with this wonderful news. While Zariah’s cancer battle has thankfully concluded, countless families like hers are still in the midst of the fight against this devastating illness. Please, donate today to help more families like Zariah’s! 💜 www.thekccf.org/donate 💌 Instagram: @elanalailakoenig #childhoodcancer #cancersupport #philanthropy
