Are you an employer with executive, administrative and professional employees who would be classified as exempt (not entitled to overtime pay) under the Fair Labor Standards Act? Be aware that the salary threshold for exempt employees under the FLSA increased to $844 a week ($43,888 annually) on July 1, 2024. This is up from the previous threshold of $684 a week (35,568 annually). The salary threshold will increase again, on January 1, 2025, to $1,128 a week ($58,656 annually).

The FTC Bans Non-Compete Agreements

Attention Maryland Employers: Maryland's minimum wage is set to increase to $15 an hour for all employers on January 1, 2024. The increase applies to all employers, regardless of the number of employees. Note that Montgomery County and Howard County have other minimum wage requirements for employers in those counties. https://lnkd.in/eFXm66aU
