Get ready for the next round of Community Conversations, and this time, we're asking the big question: "Why Don't We Vote?" We're teaming up with our friends at The Gathering Spot (TGS) for an evening you won't want to miss. Mark your calendars for next Wednesday, June 5th, at 6 PM. We're diving deep into a transparent discussion led by passionate young voices, including Julius Thomas, Ryan Wilson, Cameron Kirkland, Faith Jessie, and Anisa Pennie. We’ll be tackling the issue of why so many young people aren’t hitting the polls and brainstorming ways to turn that around. And the night doesn’t end there! Stick around for our Votelanta After-Party starting at 9 PM. Hosted by our dynamic Chief Marketing Officer, Queen C. Anaeki, MIB, and featuring the beats of Roodgery Rosemberg aka DJ Unruely, this after-party is all about mixing fun with civic duty. Expect a vibrant, non-partisan vibe with opportunities for voter registration, engaging games, and live entertainment to get everyone hyped for the upcoming November election. Don’t miss out on this chance to be part of a movement for change. RSVP now, and bring your friends, especially those future voters! Let’s show up, have fun, and make a real impact together. Excited to share a highlight from last week: I had the honor of moderating a conversation on affordable housing at The Gathering Spot in Atlanta. This event brought was about the pressing realities of housing affordability and to forge a path toward ensuring Atlanta remains accessible to everyone. The panel had an impressive lineup of leaders and experts, including Courtney English, Chief Policy Officer and Senior Advisor to the Mayor; Terri Lee, CEO of Atlanta Housing; and Dr. Eloisa Klementich, CEcD, President and CEO of Invest Atlanta. A special shoutout to our incredible partner, Julius Thomas of The People United, whose collaboration was instrumental in making this event a success. This is just the beginning of more meaningful community conversations aimed at tackling the challenges we face. #AffordableHousing #CommunityEngagement #Atlanta #TheGatheringSpot #UrbanDevelopment

🌟Community Conversation Alert🌟 I am thrilled to share that my organization The People United is teaming up with The Gathering Spot to introduce a groundbreaking series of townhalls called "Community Conversations"! These gatherings are designed to delve deep into the issues that matter most to the Atlanta community. It's not just about identifying challenges; it's about finding solutions together. Our inaugural discussion, slated for March 18, 2024, will tackle the pressing issue of affordable housing for young adults in Atlanta. Whether it's renting or buying, the struggle is real, and it's time we address it head-on. To ensure a robust dialogue, we've curated an esteemed panel featuring thought leaders such as Courtney English, Chief Policy Officer & Senior Advisor to Mayor Andre Dickens; Dr. Eloisa Klementich, CEcD, CEO of Invest Atlanta; and Terri Lee, CEO of Atlanta Housing. And I am honored to co-moderate alongside my friend, Ryan Wilson. But here's the exciting part: despite the challenges, I firmly believe in the resilience and ingenuity of our community. Now more than ever, Atlanta has the opportunity to lead the way in creating innovative solutions for affordable housing. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities and dreams into realities. Join us for an empowering evening of community, collaboration, and connection. We'll kick off with an hour of complimentary networking at 5:30 PM, followed by our engaging panel discussion and resource sharing session starting at 6:30 PM. Don't miss out on this chance to be part of the solution. Secure your spot now by signing up here: https://lnkd.in/gfr9vdGT Let's make Atlanta's future brighter, together! 💫 #CommunityConversations #AffordableHousing #AtlantaStrong
