It's officially OLYMPICS SEASON. 🏅 Obviously, we're rooting for Team USA, and we know they'll dominate in at least one activity — oil and natural gas production! We've been the world champ for several years, and we're not slowing down now. 💪 Here are some other ideas we have for an oil-and-natural-gas-themed Olympic games: • Oil barrel overhead press • Pipeline relay race • Who can drill the longest horizontal (not all the games have to be clever, okay?) And yes, we did replace the Eiffel Tower in the photo below with a drilling rig. 🤣

About us
The Petroleum Alliance is Oklahoma’s oldest and largest oil and natural gas trade association, created by the merger of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association and the Oklahoma Oil & Gas Association. We are the only trade association in Oklahoma that represents every segment of oil and natural gas, allowing the industry to speak with one voice when advocating for the interests of our members, landowner partners, host communities, and every Oklahoman whose life is touched by this great industry.

Being a Petroleum Alliance Future Leader definitely has its perks — case in point: meeting with industry influencers like former Alliance Chairman Ronnie Irani! 🤝 Ronnie is the founder and CEO of RKI Energy Resources, a privately held energy company in OKC. He has over four decades of energy experience and is actively engaged in nonprofit organizations across the metro. We love that the future of Oklahoma’s oil & natural gas industry is learning from the best!

In many ways, our society makes progress thanks to oil and natural gas. One of those ways — that we admittedly don't talk about enough — is artificial intelligence. Williams CEO Alan Armstrong hit the nail on the head. ⬇️ “The only way we’re going to be able to keep up with the kind of power demand and the electrification that’s already afoot is natural gas. If we deny ourselves that we’re going to fall behind in the AI race.” As artificial intelligence increases its popularity, so will the surging electricity demand from data centers. As artificial intelligence increases its popularity, so will the surging electricity demand from data centers. Failing to meet this demand will jeopardize economic growth across the board.

President Biden has announced his decision to not run for re-election and endorsed VP Kamala Harris. What would her election mean for our country's oil and natural gas producers? Nothing good. OK Energy Today asked Petroleum Alliance President Brook A. Simmons his opinion — here's what he had to say: "The Biden-Harris administration and the elites who set its priorities have deployed a whole-of-government strategy to destroy the U.S. oil and natural gas industry, its workers, our state’s economy, and the energy security of Americans from coast to coast. This top-down, anti-hydrocarbons policy is the problem, and she embraces it fully." Read more: https://bit.ly/3zTSkKi

Looks like someone gets it! 👀 During the Republic National Convention, Former President Donald Trump outlined his energy plans and noted his desire for oil and natural gas production. This country runs on fossil fuels! Despite what the Biden Administration has been telling folks the last four years, oil and natural gas isn't going anywhere! 👏

The United States is taking home the gold! No, we're not talking about the Olympics — we're talking about oil production and consumption. 💪 In 2023, the U.S. led the world in both categories, producing 19.358 million barrels per day and consuming 18.984 million barrels per day. Despite what the Biden Administration tries to tell you, this country still runs on oil and natural gas! 👏
