A new 1, 2 & 3 PIN recognition system for the world's best bars. "A 'Michelin' for the bar industry" (Drinks Int. 2022)

About us

The Pinnacle Guide is a brand new 1, 2 & 3 PIN recognition system for the world’s best bars. Championing excellence in bars in this way has been long discussed within the industry, but so far does not exist – until now. "A 'Michelin' for the bar industry" - Drinks International, 2022 A CONSUMER GUIDE TO THE BEST BARS IN THE WORLD An invaluable guide for the increasing global audience of discerning drinkers, in a format they are familiar with. A GLOBAL NETWORK OF EXCELLENCE IN HOSPITALITY A true measure of merit and an opportunity to elevate and reward the successes of the highest calibre bars.. A LUXURY BRAND IN IT'S OWN RIGHT With a premium aesthetic and unrivalled association with the best bars in the world. Following our in-depth six month consultancy phase with the global bar community after our trade launch in 2022, we will ensure the final system for The Pinnacle Guide is both fair and relevant across all territories and all styles of bars. The final criteria is now being formulated using the feedback from this open consultancy phase and will be freely published for a final round of feedback in Spring 2023. Creating The Pinnacle Guide is a unique opportunity – one we take extremely seriously and one we hope that the entire industry feels united by and inspired to be part of. THE FOUNDERS The founders of The Pinnacle Guide - Hannah Sharman-Cox, Siobhan Payne and Dan Dove - are three of the leading faces of the global bar scene. Regularly featured within the international drinks press and national consumer media, they are also on the judging panels for many global industry awards.

ANNOUNCING THE PINNACLE GUIDE’S FIRST PINs To be awarded a PIN, a bar must prove it is doing Excellent, Outstanding, or Exceptional work on both sides of the bar. Hundreds of bars self-nominated themselves for the first announcement of PINs. Of these, only a small portion made it through to the second stage of in-bar Anonymous Reviews, and an even smaller portion qualified for a PIN. Our 1 PIN bars include Excellent venues in Belfast, Birmingham, Dubai, Isle of Man, London, Manchester, Minneapolis, New York City, Perthshire, and Sydney.  Our 2 PIN bars include Outstanding venues in Barcelona, Edinburgh, Los Angeles, London, Louisville, Oaxaca, San Francisco, and Singapore. To gain 3 PIN status, a bar must be Exceptional in its written application and provide Exceptional service during the Anonymous Reviews. In this first round of applications, we have had bars that have demonstrated 3 PIN status in one but not yet both of these aspects - hence, there is not a 3 PIN bar anywhere in the world. Yet. Could you be the first? Dan Dove | Hannah Sharman-Cox | Siobhan Payne | Global Bartending | HANDS London Consultancy

Applications for bars to be considered for a PIN are NOW OPEN. If you think your bar should be considered as one of the first venues to receive an accolade from The Pinnacle Guide, we now invite you to start your application process. The first step is to create a profile for your venue on thepinnacleguide.com - you’ll then be able to complete the six assessment modules. The application form is designed to take significant consideration from those seeking to be awarded 1, 2 or 3 PIN status and does not have to be completed in one sitting. Whilst the ultimate objective is for The Pinnacle Guide to be a truly global recognition system, the first wave of assessments will be happening in the launch countries of Australia, Dubai, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom and United States - but those in other countries can to register interest, which will impact where The Pinnacle Guide expands. Good luck! www.thepinnacleguide.com Dan Dove | Hannah Sharman-Cox | Siobhan Payne | Global Bartending
