The visit kicked off with an engaging presentation by our Sales Manager Michael Chessock giving the students an in-depth look at who we are and what we do. Our leadership team made a special appearance to greet the students, followed by an insightful tour led by our Engineering Manager Jeff Garwood. The day wrapped up with a lively Q&A session with our HR Business Partner Racquelle Weaver, SHRM-CP providing the students with valuable insights and answers to their questions. The TransTemp Tube Furnace by Thermcraft is a unique furnace coated with a gold transparent film, allowing observation of the sample inside. It utilizes a gold mirror for insulation, reaching temperatures up to 1,000 °C. Its construction consists of three coaxially mounted glass tubes: an outer tube with a gold mirror, a quartz shield, and a quartz muffle. The gold mirror reflects infrared energy, ensuring uniform temperature distribution along the entire length of the furnace. With a low thermal mass, it heats up rapidly, reaching 1000 °C in about 15 minutes and cooling to 600 °C in about 10 minutes. https://loom.ly/_dSGq5Y
