Our team in Cincinnati, Ohio showcases new equipment at our recently expanded site. Enhancements there, as well as in Bend, Oregon, will allow us to further advance and accelerate the research, development, manufacturing and testing of the most commonly prescribed form of medication, oral solid dose formulations, which include things like tablets and capsules that account for 84% of all medications on the market today. Doubling the Bend site’s existing footprint and continuing a multi-year investment plan in Cincinnati enables our global network to provide end-to-end support that helps streamline drug development and delivery processes for our customers as demand rises for these easily administered medications. Stay tuned for more information on our upgraded facilities and how they will impact surrounding communities.

Our interns have the unique opportunity to connect with executives and hear firsthand about their career journeys. These interactions not only inspire our interns but also rejuvenate our leaders. Share this post with someone who would be a great fit for our 2025 summer internships program. https://lnkd.in/grMB2EN3
I had the privilege of spending time last month with 43 future professionals as part of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s “Meet A Leader” intern development series. These young, aspiring leaders of tomorrow are always smart, curious and engaging, and this year’s summer interns were no exception. During our virtual meeting, we talked about my role, what a “typical” day is like (I was able to correct the long-held misconception that typical days exist), examples of success with our customers, and insights and advice I could share from lessons I’ve learned along the way. Interns are interested in executives’ career progression, and in taking them through mine, I was reminded of – and moved by – the many opportunities I’ve been given during the last 30 years, the trust placed in me, the support of teams and peers I worked with, and the managers and mentors whose guidance and interest in me and my career helped me get where I am today. Spending time with our interns is one of the ways I can give back, and help others just as many selflessly helped me. I wish our interns all the best as they chart their paths in pursuit of successful, meaningful and satisfying careers. Hopefully, I’ll see some of them at Thermo Fisher. Many thanks to Mel B. for the invitation and her hospitality. #QualityProfessionals #QualityAssurance #RegulatoryAffairs #QARA #Regulatory #Quality #QualityControl #interships #TalentDevelopment #ThermoFisherInterns #LifeAtThermoFisher #InternDevelopment

As Sepsis Awareness Month concludes, we share the story of Jeroen Bursens, who almost lost his life to this deadly disease, a condition that kills about one-third of the 49 million people it affects annually. Jeroen's hospital-acquired infection that triggered sepsis after a routine surgery highlights the critical need for early detection and treatment. Thermo Fisher's diagnostic tools play a vital role in this fight and help clinicians make informed decisions and improve patient outcomes. As we wrap up Sepsis Awareness Month, let's commit to spreading awareness and supporting advancements in sepsis detection and treatment for people like Jeroen and his family. #SepsisAwarenessMonth

Thermo Fisher Scientific reposted this
It was wonderful to see so many of our customers, healthcare practitioners, researchers and investors gathered at the World Medical Innovation Forum in Boston this week. The event, sponsored by Mass General Brigham and Bank of America, brought all of these stakeholders together to share insights into new discoveries and innovations in research and medicine. I was honored to have the opportunity to share my thoughts on the exciting time we are living in – which I see as the Golden Age of Biology – and Thermo Fisher’s role in propelling it. Science continues to advance at a rapid pace, with huge strides being made in our understanding of disease and the development of novel therapies. Thermo Fisher is powering these breakthroughs by providing cutting-edge products and services. We are innovating diagnostics that facilitate the administration of personalized and targeted therapies to improve patient care. Our leading proteomics technologies are enabling new insights into the mechanisms of disease, identification of novel protein drug targets, design of new drug candidates and development of new diagnostic biomarkers. And our clinical research and pharma services are helping our customers to bring new therapies to patients faster and more cost-effectively. As I look ahead, I’m very excited about the future as we continue work together with our customers to improve lives and create a brighter future for all.

Water and a snack. A simple act of kindness that saved John Culich’s life when he was approached by a volunteer who helped connect him to the medical care he needed when he was living on the street. That’s the impact of Thermo Fisher colleagues who donate and assemble snack packs and hygiene kits that help open the door for Care Beyond the Boulevard to provide people with the healthcare they need. https://lnkd.in/gs8u7Cyv
