The upcoming “Gathering for Good” event, hosted by The Tampa Club Philanthropy Committee, is a shining example of how a community can come together to create meaningful change. Set to take place on Tuesday, January 14th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, this non-profit expo is dedicated to highlighting Human Trafficking Awareness Month and the critical work being done to combat this global issue right here in Tampa. Why This Event Matters 1. Raising Awareness for Human Trafficking Human trafficking is a pressing issue affecting millions worldwide, including within our own communities. By dedicating this event to Human Trafficking Awareness, the Philanthropy Committee is fostering vital conversations and shedding light on a topic that often remains hidden in the shadows. 2. Showcasing Local Nonprofits Tampa is home to numerous organizations working tirelessly to support survivors, prevent trafficking, and create safer communities. Happy Veterans Day! We were honored to host a Veterans Day Breakfast this morning featuring an esteemed panel of guest speakers. Thank you to, Dan O'Shea, ALFRED CARTER, Jarrid “Jay” Collins, and Daniel Alvarez, Sr. for all coming to share your experiences and stories. Our Military Committee, thanks to Dr. Aaron Bazin and Jenae Calloway, MBA has grown so much this past year that they have taken the opportunity to create Challenge Coins available for purchase. These coins are exclusively for Tampa Club Members to purchase and will show our dedication to the military community. Each coin is $12 and all proceeds will be donated to the American Legion Post 138 in South Tampa. A great way to support those who have served you.
