This week, we reflect on the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. We honor the memory of those who perished and recognize the bravery of the first responders who risked and, in many cases, gave their lives to save others. For many in our community, the events of that day hold deep personal significance. Our nation experienced an immense loss, but also witnessed countless acts of heroism, resilience and unity.

THOR Solutions is proud to celebrate Independence Day. Independence Day observed on July 4th, memorializes the United States' liberation in 1776. The Declaration of Independence, drafted by Thomas Jefferson, displays core principles of liberty, equality, and self-governance. It symbolizes America's commitment to democratic ideals and the courage of its founders who risked everything for freedom. This national holiday unites citizens across diverse backgrounds, transcending political differences to celebrate shared heritage and values. THOR Solutions wishes everyone a happy safe holiday.

THOR Solutions is proud to celebrate Juneteenth. Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, commemorates the June 19, 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas, and more generally the emancipation of enslaved African Americans throughout the former Confederate States of America. This day marks a pivotal moment in American history when Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas, with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free. Juneteenth is celebrated across the United States with various events and activities that honor the culture, achievements, and contributions of African Americans to the nation's history.

D-Day marks a time to reflect on America’s involvement in the turning point of World War II. On June 6, 1944, the long-awaited invasion along the Normandy coastline took place, with thousands of Allied troops landing on five separate beachheads.

Memorial Day offers us deserved time with family and friends, as well as an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifice of those American Heroes who laid down their lives, defending our country — upholding our cherished freedoms and liberties. On this coming Monday, we honor their courage, their strength of character and the suffering they willingly endured on our behalf — with no expectation of recognition or reward. As set forth in an act of Congress, signed into law by the President; I encourage all of us at THOR on Monday, May 27th to pause at 15:00 local time to observe our National Moment of Remembrance for the fallen — strengthening the values and principles for they sacrificed. When paying tribute those who gave their last full measure of devotion, let us also be thankful for who stand the watch today — the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen serving our country at home and abroad — who put themselves in harm’s way to keep the American people safe, securing the blessings of liberty as enshrined in our Constitution.
