J'étais ce jour sur BSMART #Smarttech en compagnie de Delphine Sabattier pour parler du nouveau paradigme introduit par les #LLM concernant les données personnelles. En effet, jusqu'à présent, la quasi totalité des #données et plus particulièrement les #donnéespersonnelles étaient et sont encore sauvegardées dans des bases de données, modifiables et supprimables à tout moment. C'est d'ailleurs sur ce modèle que le #RGPD a été mis en oeuvre pour offrir des droits aux individus et des devoirs aux organisations en matière de #protection des données. Cependant, avec les #LLMs, nous entrons dans un nouveau paradigme où la notion de base de données persistante n'existe plus. Chaque réponse à nos questions (#prompt), est générée et créée en temps réel, littéralement mot après mot, pixel après pixel pour une image, ... par des algorithmes de #prédiction et #classification basés sur des #transformers qui sont des ensembles de #réseauxneuronaux. Et ces algorithmes ont été entraînés à partir de centaines de millions de milliards de mots, symboles, images ou vidéos collectées sur Internet. Et point de bases de données et de processus certain permettant leur mise à jour ou suppression de manière déterministe et contrôlée. Pour exemple, j'ai demandé à #chatGPTT "Qui est Hervé Le Jouan ?" : Si sa réponse contenait des éléments corrects, il m'attribuait d'avoir été CEO d'eXelate Europe, ce qui est faux. Je lui ai alors fait part de l'erreur et lui ai demandé d'où provenait cette information. Sa réponse fut très intéressante : "...Mon information concernant son passage chez eXelate peut provenir d'une confusion ou d'une source incorrectement attribuée. Je n'ai pas de trace d'une affiliation directe et documentée d'Hervé Le Jouan avec eXelate après une vérification de mes ressources actuelles." Le lendemain, je lui reposais la même question et sa réponse fut différente et prit en compte ma demande (il ne savait pas que j'étais Hervé Le Jouan) en étant beaucoup plus vague sur cette erreur. Aussi, il est possible de mentionner dans la conversation une erreur d'en demander la correction et il répond : "Je m'assurerai de te fournir une réponse mise à jour dans la foulée." Cela veut-il dire que n'importe qui peut modifier des informations sur une personne ou d'autres éléments ?? Ils stipulent dans leur conditions générales d’utilisation, qu'ils suppriment de l’apprentissage toute donnée personnelle … mais que veulent-ils dire? Personne ne sait et ne peut contrôler cela. Et c’est même un immense enjeu pour eux et pour nous!
