#PastProjectSpotlight 💡 With partner firm Rostan Solutions LLC, Timbalier Resources' #GrantDivision assisted Wilkinson County in overturning two FEMA Public Assistance determination memorandums of over $800,000 in federal grant funding. Utilizing a multi-disciplined effort of legal/policy expertise and GIS technologies, Timbalier challenged issues such as causation, procedural non-compliance, and substantive due process, offering a pragmatic approach to two very complicated projects. Timbalier contributes this success to its integrated disciplines, a dedicated Rostan field team, as well as FEMA's sincere attempt to revisit this project with objectivity.

#PastProjectSpotlight 💡 As Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana's lead land service contractor, Timbalier Resources played a key role in the Golden Triangle Marsh Creation Project (PO-163). Timbalier secured necessary servitude interest for the project and began integrating the State's design data with land rights, creating an online mapping resource for centralized land rights focus for the entire team. The Golden Triangle Marsh Creation Project aims to create 600 acres of new wetland habitat, restore degraded marsh and reduce wave erosion. This area is a crucial natural buffer, protecting geographically and socially vulnerable communities in New Orleans from storm surge. 🌱 To learn more about the Golden Triangle Marsh Creation Project, read the article here: https://lnkd.in/gjeZpH8e

#PastProjectSpotlight 💡 With partner grant firm, Rostan Solutions LLC, Timbalier Resources' team of policy and grant experts successfully pushed the Concordia Parish Brushy Bayou Project forward with the assistance of the Parish administration and engineers. Timbalier assisted in acquiring all USACE permitting, EHP criteria, and Phase 1 deliverables. Following the 1927 floods, Concordia Parish, along with many other parishes, received flood protection to its east from the Mississippi River. In the 1950s, the Parish received funding for a ring levee protecting its north and west side from the Tensas and Black River. This essentially created a bowl of watershed retention further exacerbated by the flat contours and ineffective drainage within the Parish. Originally acquired as a DR 1603 Hurricane Katrine HMGP grant, the Brushy Bayou Project was very close to being shelved before partner firms Timbalier Resources and Rostan Solutions stepped in 👏
