About us

30 Days Ago: “We really don’t see eye-to-eye. We can’t agree on anything when it comes to marketing… or anything, really,” the VP of Sales said. His jaw ticked as he bit down whatever angry sentence he wanted to say next. Today: “For the first time, we agree on who we are. We know how to talk about our business and we’re excited about how easy you made it for us to market.” You’ve tried the expansive marketing plans, but they sat in your drive collecting digital dust. You’ve tried the big, do-it-all marketing agencies, but the ROI was non-existent. You’ve tried the piecemeal freelancers, but they needed too much guidance. But have you tried building a marketing engine built for the resources you already have? You don’t need marketing plans the size of the bible, agencies selling you packages you don’t need (and, let’s be real, can’t afford), and you definitely don’t need freelancers who need you to guide them. Heck, you need the guide! You’re not a marketer, and you don’t want to be. You need a solution that builds a right-sized marketing engine that runs for you (not over you like an 18-wheeler). You need a plan that works with the team and budget you have today, not some dream budget someone decided you should have. As a former one-person marketing department, I understand what works when your team and budget are limited. With my 4-part framework, you get marketing that works for you. Streamline: Build a StrategicStory, hybrid messaging, and content marketing strategy that outlines exactly how to market, positioning you as the only choice for your ideal customer. Systematize: We build systems so your marketing works for you with templates, frameworks, and batching days. Automate/AI: We use automation and AI to save time and money during every step of your marketing journey. Outsource: We find the right people to fill in the gaps in your marketing, and we do it within your budget.

I help B2B consultants, fractionals, and service pros shrink the sales cycle and grow their pipeline with an organic growth engine 💛 Build yours in 60 minutes with me 🤝 Top 100 Marketing Pod / Tiny Marketing

I'm obsessed with connecting biz dev with every element of my marketing strategy, and now I'm sharing my rules. Here are my rules for tying biz dev to content marketing: 1. Your content should be published in a series of 3-5 that always leads to a time-sensitive lead magnet, encouraging a rush of new subscribers. 2. Always include an element of collaborative content (interview-style shows, webinar swaps, podcast guesting) to connect with new people and build relationships. 3. Build a content platform you can leverage as "a give" to connect with influencers who share your audience to hear more "Hell YES!" when you ask for a connection/networking call. If you want to learn more about rule Number One, I'm posting a bonus episode today on the pod. I'll drop the link in the comments so you can follow it and get the notification when it drops. --- Hi 👋 I'm Sarah. I help B2B service business founders launch and grow a lean, organic marketing engine that makes selling easy. Imagine not having to sell. Instead, your dream clients are excited to buy from you. If you struggle to fill your pipeline with ready-to-buy fans, DM me to learn more. #contentmarketing #marketingstrategy #businessdevelopment #networking

Last week, the Purposeful Marketing Podcast interviewed me about something a weee bit different than what I usually talk about. They asked me how ** as a marketer ** I sell my own services. And it didn't occur to me until I started talking about it that one thing provided instant results. Connection Calls. My Q4 was looking pretty dead. Tumble weeks blew across my calendar, so I filled it with connection calls. In fact, in one week, I had 40 calls. Do you want to know what happened next? I got booked out for five months within 30 days of doing this. I hit my "best" revenue goal for Q1, which was triple what I made last year. The best part? I didn't have to sell. I didn't "sell" at all. I made friends. I earned trust. I got referrals. I have one project opening in May. Only one. If you've thought about growing your visibility, building a platform, and becoming an authority in your niche, DM me and grab that spot. --- Hi 👋 I'm Sarah. I've done this countless times, and I always regret it. Have you ever gone to an event, met tons of cool people, and then... got on with your life? Forgot to keep up with them? Yeah. Me, too. But what if there were a networking playbook? A little checklist that you could refer to that would ensure you don't lose out on profitable relationships. That's what we shared in our latest episode of Tiny Marketing. I chatted with Jenna Kimball, SHRM-CP, about how she networks (without being awkward) and maintains long-term relationships with the people she meets. And guess what? It's not that hard. Listen to her episode and steal her easy-peasy strategy right here: https://lnkd.in/gNppi-ps She is also guest facilitating a workshop I'm hosting on networking without being awkward. We're going live on 4/23 at 1:30pm CST. Save your spot here: https://lnkd.in/gKkKT4pq --- Hi 👋 I'm Sarah. The other day I was shooting the shit with someone before hitting record on an interview for the pod, and what she said stopped me in my tracks. She said... I don't have a lot of time in my day, so I have to be really choosy about the events and meetings I take. I love idea X, but I don't have a free 45 minutes every month. That made me pause and think. Now I want you to think. Are you talking to your customers and asking what types of networking events they would be interested in attending, and - maybe even more important - how much time/what cadence would they prefer? You might have been thinking about hosting networking events, but you aren't ready for the commitment. ❌ It takes too much time. ❌ It's too complicated. ❌ Blah ❌ Excuse ❌ Shblah But maybe you're overcomplicating it. MAYBE your dream clients want something quick like "speed networking" or, maybe, they want something only once a quarter. This week I'm sharing the lazy girl's guide to hosting a networking event. Amy Pruitt shared her tips on how to get started hosting your events, and guess what? It doesn't have to be complicated. Question for you: Have you hosted networking events before? If so, what format worked for you? --- Hi 👋 I'm Sarah. I partner with 0-2-person marketing departments to help them build visibility and authority by "owning" the stage. There’s one thing I say that gets more push back than anything else, and trust me, I get push back on plenty 😏. If you have a small team, only focus on one social media channel (this is mine, surprised?). But… here’s the thing — you should have profiles on those other channels, too. In this week’s episode, I broke down exactly what to do with those channels you don’t touch and why you should have them. P.S. I’m currently on spring break, hiking in the mountains of North Georgia, so, I’ll be a weee bit slower to respond, but I will :) P.P.S. I dropped the link in the comments.

When I started Tiny Marketing, one thing caused so much friction I spent HOURS trying to figure out how to solve it. 👉 Content Approvals 👈 ❌ I upgraded my Google Suite to get “approvals” added. ❌ I bought an expensive project management tool that allowed for client approvals. ❌ I sent a weekly report requiring approvals. They failed. Why? Because steps were missing that clients wanted oversight on, simple approvals didn’t do the trick. I’m a content marketer, so there is no getting away from needing to get approvals, publishing content, and grabbing analytics from a thousand sources for my clients. It’s part of the content life. Then I found Planable. Like, four years later than I wish I had. With Planable, I can do EVERYTHING in one place. No more sifting through random comments in Google Docs, C&P chaos, scheduling on a bunch of different platforms, or finding out once something is published, they “don’t like the way it looks.” With Planable, you can: ✅ Create ALL of your content (social media, emails, newsletters, blogs, EVERYTHING) and request feedback in one place. ✅ Revise and get approvals on your content asynchronously. ✅ Preview what that bad boy will look like published. ✅ Publish your content. ✅ Get analytics to drive your decisions going forward. I tried the free version, but I’m not going back. It’s a take-my-money situation. I'll drop it in the comments so you can try it, too.
