We hosted portfolio company founders and network members at #TitletownTech for the Packers vs. Colts game, with some making their first-ever pilgrimage to this iconic stadium and experiencing their first NFL game. Founders and their team members traveled from Minnesota, Michigan, Virginia, Washington D.C., across Wisconsin, and beyond for our two-day event. Croux co-founder and CEO Jennifer Ryan continues to disrupt the talent landscape with her team! 🍽️📱 Originally from Southern California, Jen’s journey has spanned coast to coast, from NYC to Europe, before bringing her back to the U.S. and eventually to Green Bay. After her time in the finance and tech worlds, Jen owned and operated a fast-casual health restaurant, giving her firsthand experience with the challenges facing the hospitality industry. Her passion for creating solutions that empower hospitality businesses led to the launch of #Croux with her co-founders. Jen and team are revolutionizing the way businesses in the hospitality industry connect with talent. The app makes it easy for employers to quickly find and hire experienced, on-demand workers, while giving talent the flexibility to choose when and where they work. It’s all about creating a better, more dynamic workforce -- one shift at a time. OCULOGICA, one of our portfolio companies, and its non-baseline, FDA-approved concussion diagnostic, were recently spotlighted in a United States Department of Defense study. 🧠🤓 Published in AMSUS-SM's Military Medicine journal, the study, led by Dr. John King from the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, revealed that the #EyeBOX outperformed other eye-tracking devices in both diagnostic accuracy and usability. #EyeBOX demonstrated the highest sensitivity for detecting recent concussions and the highest specificity for those with concussions over a month old, with no need for calibration. This validation highlights #Oculogica’s impact on concussion diagnostics and reinforces our belief in the exciting potential of the company's technology. Wisconsin is home to over 9,000 manufacturers and a strong pool of talent, and we’re excited to be part of the continued growth and AI adoption in our ecosystem. Yesterday, we hosted a collaborative event with WTA-Wisconsin Technology Association, NEW Digital Alliance, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the Connected Systems Institute at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Microsoft. The event highlighted the exciting advancements happening in our state, bolstered by #Microsoft's $3.3 billion dollar investment in Wisconsin. We’re contributing to this progress through the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab in Wisconsin for Manufacturing—the seventh in the world, the third in the U.S., and the first outside the West Coast, as well as the first and only lab with an industry focus. Our colleague Kathryn Clouse shared insights on our joint efforts with #CSI's Joe Hamann and the Microsoft team, helping businesses across Wisconsin and beyond explore AI use cases, build prototypes, and unlock new opportunities. We’re committed to value creation, drawing on our experience in taking ideas from concept to market, and we’re bringing that same experience to the AI Co-Innovation Lab, ensuring that this lab becomes a powerful catalyst for the future of AI and manufacturing in Wisconsin.
