Today is Global Handwashing Day! One of the core components of our larger infection control program, handwashing is one of the most important steps in preventing the spread of infection. Our amazing clinical leadership team conducted some huddle training on handwashing to reinforce this best practice. Apparently they were feeling a little shy and did not want to show their faces!

60 years ago today Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, one of the most prestigious awards in the world, for his monumental work during the Civil Rights Movement. The impact of his work was felt in America and around the world, where he truly changed the course of history through his brave and courageous efforts. During these times that often still feel so divided take a moment to reflect on the message of Dr. King.

Today marks the 249th birthday of the U.S. Navy! To all our staff, residents, families, and followers that are Navy veterans we thank you for your service!

Today is National Mental Health Awareness Day! Our TLC team proudly stands in support of this important cause, which is close to many of our hearts. As someone who personally faces the challenges of mental health, I know how meaningful it is to feel the backing of supportive colleagues. From our Administrator, Director of Nursing, Director of Admissions and Marketing, and HR team, to our RNs, LPNs, Rehab team, and housekeeping staff—we understand the ongoing effort it takes to raise awareness. Please remember, you are not alone.
