🎯 Considering taking the Thinking Processes Fundamentals Exam from TOCICO? I’ve been asked about how to prepare, so I thought I’d share what worked for me! I relied on the mandatory materials listed here: https://lnkd.in/d9mNsiER These are available online, free of charge. In addition, I found 👉 Lisa Scheinkopf's Thinking for a Change book (listed as optional) and 👉 the TOC Handbook chapters on Thinking Processes (not listed) to be great supplementary resources. 🔑 One tip to keep in mind: the Strategy and Tactics Tree is part of the exam, though it wasn’t immediately clear to me. Make sure to include it in your studies! The exam itself is an online proctored, 4-hour multiple-choice test (with a break). Our latest release, Senior Managers’ and Project Managers’ Guide to Critical Chain, was launched at the Global TOCICO conference in Bad Nauheim, Germany. I’ve spent the past week with incredible people from (literally) around the world at the 2024 #TOCICO Innovation Summit in Bad Nauheim, Germany. I attended tons of sessions from practitioners in the industry (like Henry Fitzhugh Camp and Ian Larsen) and academia (like Ian Heptinstall and Danilo Sirias, Ph.D., TOCIC). It was inspiring to see a thriving community that honors not only ToC pioneers (like Eli Schragenheim and Sanjeev Gupta) but also embraces young talents (like Ewa Kula-Pankau 💭🌳and Peter Cronin). I gained some truly mind-blowing insights from listening to and speaking with all these critical thinkers. ToC is not a bunch of tools that you pull off the shelf; it’s a management philosophy that approaches down-to-earth problems in a systemic way. In a word, ToC is about focus … so, look for the “One Thing” that will unlock the way to achieve your goal, and don’t fall into the complexity trap! Attending the TOC Innovation Summit 2024 in Bad Nauheim Germany this week to present on TOC in Academia was an amazing experience. Listening to the ideas from so many global leaders was truly inspiring.
