Today we announced our trading results for the first quarter of our new financial year, with Group sales up 4.6%, and the decision by our Chief Executive to retire from Topps Group after 18 years with the business. In the announcement, Rob Parker said the Group strategy was delivering strong results – especially in the key areas of focus of trade and digital. Topps Tiles trade sales were up 13.5% year-on-year, Pro Tiler grew by 20% and also completed the relocation to a new 140,000sq ft warehouse, and online-only Tile Warehouse sales were up 140% for the first quarter. He said: “While it is still early in the financial year, we are pleased to see the Group return to sales growth in the first quarter; our strategy is delivering and we are well-positioned to achieve our Mission 365 goal over the medium term.” He added: “Following 18 very happy years with the business I have decided to step away from a full-time executive role and have informed the Board that I intend to retire from the end of 2025; this will therefore be my last year with the Group. The Board has activated its succession plan and commenced a search process for a new Chief Executive Officer. Today we have announced our full year financial results for FY24. Topps Group saw sales of £248.5 million, down 5.4% on the previous year and an adjusted profit of £6.3m. The Group has significantly outperformed a tough market and launched a new goal of ‘Mission 365’ – to deliver £365m of sales over the medium term. The first 8 weeks of our new financial year have seen an important return to sales growth with a modest increase of +1.2% YoY. We were delighted to welcome our charity partners Alzheimer's Society to our start of year conferences, and reveal to colleagues that our fundraising total currently stands at £500,000! Topps Group has tasked ourselves with raising £1million for Alzheimer’s Society over five years to provide help and hope for people affected by dementia, and we are thrilled to be at the halfway point with more than two years still to go! Funds are raised through the Pennies digital charity box scheme in our Topps Tiles retail stores, along with a wealth of fundraising events and activities organised by colleagues. Today we have announced our Q4 trading update. You can read the full statement at www.toppsgroup.com. Sales across the Group for the year are approximately £248 million. This is around 6% lower than last year’s record turnover, but broadly in line with our sales from two years ago. With the UK market down 10-15% year-on year, we are confident this outperforms the wider market, and we will continue to move closer towards delivering our Mission 365 goal. Week 2 of our Summer Charity Campaign has seen some amazing engagement across the business including cycling, basketball, golf, and running, and even a French themed week at our Support Office which saw the IT team cycle over 170 miles to raise vital funds for Alzheimer's Society! I’m sure you will agree how amazing our colleagues are, and we can now share with you that they have raised a whopping £6965 in two weeks! £6965 would allow a community dementia adviser to support 16 families. Community Dementia Advisers provide face-to-face support for families facing complex challenges. Whether they're supporting someone living with dementia, a carer, or an entire family, this support is invaluable when it comes to navigating the maze of dementia.

The trading environment has remained challenging with Group sales down 6.9% year-on-year for Q3, and down 6.3% YoY for the 39 weeks of this financial year, but with the UK tile market down 10-15% we remain confident that we are continuing to grow our market share. Chief Executive Rob Parker said: “We are well positioned to benefit when the market begins to recover, with our growing market share, leading brands, specialist expertise and world-class service, underpinned by a strong balance sheet.
