TOTE was honored to present Multicultural Child & Family Hope Center a grant to support the construction of the Cora Whitley Family Center. MCFHC's mission is to educate, empower and uplift children, youth and the community to increase access to opportunity. The new center's construction will begin in the spring of 2025 and will increase the current center's services by 50%. The Cora Whitley Family Center will support over 21% of childcare needs in Tacoma as well as family services, early education, before and after-school programs, homeless prevention, and more. This month, TOTE was honored to support the annual Coast Guard Foundation dinner in Anchorage, Alaska. #TMAK Vice President and Alaska General Manager, Art Dahlin, attended the event with guests including Senator Lisa Murkowski, Senator Dan Sullivan, Congresswoman Mary Peltola, and Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Linda Fagan. Eduardo Pagán, VP & GM of TOTE Maritime Agency Puerto Rico, hosted the Thrive With Enactus business breakfast, connecting executive leaders and entrepreneurs from #PuertoRico to Enactus student leaders. #TOTE was recognized for its commitment to youth development, supporting education and entrepreneurship, and reducing environmental impact at the event. As Puerto Rico marks the 20th anniversary of Enactus Puerto Rico, TOTE was pleased to present the BLUE ECONOMY TOTE Award to "Manaties a la Vista" from InterAmerican University, Ponce, for their project and its contribution to the blue economy. For the past seven years, TOTE has served on the Enactus Board of Directors, hiring program graduates and collaborating on projects aligned with the United Nations' sustainability goals. Last week, TOTE celebrated our "49 in the 49th" in Anchorage, Alaska! In true Alaskan style, a little rain didn't dampen the spirits at the Customer Golf Classic or the rooftop celebration at 49th State Brewing.
