At Tough as a Mother, we connect mothers with compassionate healthcare providers, like Valley Hope Addiction Treatment & Recovery New Directions program led by Monica Pineda. This program supports pregnant individuals and mothers, allowing them to stay with their children (ages 0-12) while receiving care, promoting recovery and family unity. We’re proud to partner with leaders in family-centered care, enhancing the lives of families on their path to health. For more information about New Directions → https://lnkd.in/d-6mZPU

Domestic violence is a widespread issue, affecting 1 in 3 women in the U.S., with 15% being mothers. Mothers, despite their strength, are often vulnerable to abuse. Tough as a Mother aims to break the silence and raise awareness about the impact of domestic violence, especially its link to substance misuse—67-80%* of women in treatment are also DV victims. Someone you know may be experiencing it, whether visible or not. Celebrating World Mental Health Day and the incredible efforts being made in our communities. We're proud to collaborate with our partner, CPCQC, in their mission to raise awareness and provide essential care for mothers and birthing individuals.
Did you know that one in five birthing individuals in the U.S. faces mental health challenges? On this World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded that even one is too many. Thanks to the collective efforts of our community, the Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative (CPCQC) is making significant strides to address these challenges. This year, we secured a historic $1.3 million investment in healthier births for all Coloradans through the Improving Perinatal Health Outcomes Act (SB 24-175). Let’s raise awareness for perinatal mental health and ensure that more mothers and birthing individuals receive the support they need. #WorldMentalHealthDay #PerinatalHealth #CPCQC #MentalHealthMatters
