The College of Business and Economics at Towson University transforms students into professionals, connects them to opportunities, and helps them launch their careers in accounting, business, and economics through innovative, experiential programs. Towson University is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for both its business administration and accounting programs. Accreditation from AACSB International is the benchmark of quality for business education worldwide and proves to employers that we will teach you the knowledge and skills that you need. Less than 6% of schools worldwide are accredited for business and only 2% are accredited for both business and accounting. Towson University, an institution member of the University System of Maryland, is home to about 20,000 students - 3,000 of which study in the College of Business and Economics. Our students benefit from dedicated faculty and an average class size of 32 students. CBE is home to four specialized masters programs in accounting, economic analytics, marketing intelligence and supply chain management, and 13 areas of study for undergraduates – from Accounting to Entrepreneurship to Project Management and everything in between. CBE is proud to be nationally ranked for its academic programs, career outcomes, and diversity. CBE was ranked as one of the best business schools in the nation, both by U.S. News & World Report and Poets & Quants for Undergrads, a national publication focused on business education. We are #TUProud of Jamal Washington '16 who was just recently named as Towson University's first USAID Donald M. Payne International Fellowship Program recipient! Jamal was an international business student who found his passion through SGA and getting involved. After graduating, Washington began a career at the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) in Baltimore, where he worked on international leadership programs and helped launch The Albrecht Fellowships to benefit local students. This experience deepened his desire to pursue a career in foreign service. Now, Jamal will be attending Columbia University in New York to earn his master's in international affairs, economic and political development.
