#TBT The year 1978 inaugurated Trachte into the preassembled building market. Trachte was approached by GTE North, a telecommunications company, to design and install “pair gain” buildings, which is a telecom term referring to single pair copper telephone lines. This request was the first of 470 building provided for GTE North in 8 states. The introduction into the communications market is the gateway for Trachte to place more than 1500 preassembled buildings with communication carriers. #historyhall #prefabricatedbuildings #engineeredsolutions #equipmentprotection

Generically speaking, we make an e-house (Electrical House), yet we use terms like electrical enclosures, control buildings, and control house interchangeably. As a general rule of thumb, the term control building or control house often implies low voltage and typically a relay protection and control building, with voltages inside lower than 480VAC. Most of what our integration team does is power integration, or voltages at 5,000VAC to 38,000 VAC. At that voltage level, the electrical equipment is more complex and heavier, also requiring heavier duty floors to limit deflection. The best part is our solutions are not one size fits all. Our Delivery and Site Services team understands what it means to lift heavy. Our team coordinated a 150 ton crane and operator to carefully lift and set this 13 ft. wide by 55 ft. long, 85,000lb switchgear building section onto a 163ft long trailer to transport to its final site location. Our network of qualified over-the-road contractors ensure oversized loads are handled with the right specialized equipment and experience to transport them safely and efficiently. #ehouses #engineeredsolutions #equipmentprotection #prefabricatedbuildings #siteservices #teamTSE 📷 Rob Riggs, Manufacturing Engineer, Trachte Georgia

#TBT In 1962, the Trachte Sales and Construction division of Trachte Metal Buildings Company was created. Ever wonder why there are TWO separate companies with the family name of Trachte? Well, in the 1970s, Trachte Metal Buildings Company split off from Trachte Sales and Construction to enter the self-storage industry. Trachte Sales and Construction, or Trachte LLC as we are known today, focused on manufacturing pre-assembled utility and other small buildings in Madison, WI. #what'sinaname #thisisTrachte #preassembled #steelbuildings #historyhall
