🚀 Check out Blazing Star—our quarter-scale rocket body simulator with 3-axis attitude control! This is a key part of our NASA-funded development of our cutting-edge capture bag technology.🛰 Blazing Star, suspended from our 14-foot-high gantry, helps us simulate capturing orbital debris and satellites for end-of-life disposal. This setup allows us to explore the dynamics and kinematics of the capture process, a critical step toward keeping space sustainable. 🌍 ✨ We’re pushing the boundaries of space tech to make space operations safer and more efficient. Stay tuned for more updates! #SpaceTech #OrbitalDebris #NASA #TransAstra #Innovation #SpaceSustainability

Joel Sercel, Alex Pilmer, Nicole Shumaker, Philip Wahl are thrilled to be at #AMOS2024 on behalf of TransAstra! Looking forward to connecting with everyone in the space surveillance industry and discussing TransAstra’s work on Sutter Ground and Space, as well as Theia—our software demonstrated on ground & space telescopes and now commercially available! If you are at AMOS, Philip, our head of R&D engineering is excited to meet you! Don't be shy, come say hi! 🚀 #SpaceTech #Theia #Innovation
Delighted to attend the annual AMOS conference #AMOS2024 in Maui with Alex Pilmer, Nicole Shumaker, and Philip Wahl! Excited to connect with experts in space situational awareness and space domain awareness. We now use our Sutter telescope technology, initially developed for finding asteroids, to locate and monitor small spacecraft far from Earth on contract for Space Force (we also track asteroids for our own purposes). TransAstra's groundbreaking work with Sutter ground-based telescopes and our technology deployed in space for satellite detection and tracking in GEO from LEO CubeSats is pushing boundaries! If you're at AMOS, visit our booth and say hi! 🚀🔭 #SpaceTech #Theia #Innovation

As we gear up to celebrate Independence Day, TransAstra is thrilled to announce a significant milestone: we've acquired 2 new patents, bringing our total to 14! Our latest patents include: 1️⃣ Systems and Methods for Radiant Gas Dynamic Mining of Permafrost (Pat. No. 12025006) 2️⃣ Omnivorous Solar Thermal Thruster, Cooling Systems, and Thermal Energy Transfer in Rockets (Pat. No. 12025078) These patents mark key milestones in our mission to revolutionize space technology. We are immensely proud of our team’s dedication and hard work in making these advancements possible. Radiant Gas Dynamic Mining of Permafrost is a way to harvest water vapor and other volatile chemicals from the Moon for making rocket propellant and other critical consumables to support a human outpost. The 2nd patent is for key features and claims covering our Omnivore solar thermal rocket. Omnivore promises nuclear rocket like performance without the cost and risk of nuclear reactors.

"The space station has suffered minor damage from debris over the years, but astronauts have yet to be injured. Space junk is a growing concern, however, as the amount of satellites and fragments of satellites have both grown dramatically in the past decade." - Mack, Eric. "ISS Astronauts Take Shelter After Russian Spacecraft Breaks Up In Orbit". Forbes. At TransAstra, we recognize the urgency of addressing this issue. That's why we're developing the FlyTrap Capture Bag, a solution designed to remediate space debris by capturing it effectively. Currently in the demo stage, FlyTrap will significantly improve the future of space sustainability. FlyTrap not only aims to clear space debris will capture asteroids, paving the way for a cleaner and safer space environment. Forbes Article: https://lnkd.in/grwUNnSw
