With elections and political changes constantly in the headlines, it’s natural to wonder how they’ll impact your investments. But history tells a different story. Markets tend to rise and fall based on broader economic factors, not political shifts alone. This article explores how staying focused on long-term goals, rather than reacting to short-term political events, can lead to better investment outcomes. Take a look and see why patience and perspective are crucial during uncertain times! https://hubs.la/Q02SSwLd0

Doing For Others On MLK Day Dr. King believed that strength came from a community working together as a whole. This #MLKDay, honor the memory of Dr. King by giving back to your community. There are many places that will be accepting volunteers on MLK Day, as well as many volunteer organizations that will be holding events to help others here in town. Even though MLK Day is a day-off of work, spend your day helping other people who need it. Service is defined as “an act of a helpful activity; help; aid.” There is no limit to how much you can help someone. Our service men and women on active duty are constantly engaging in this act. Not only must we remember this on MLK Day, but we must also give back to our own communities. This Martin Luther King Jr. Day, ask yourself, what are you doing to help others?

As the end of the year quickly approaches, it may seem too late to take advantage of opportunities to save money on your income taxes for this year. Fortunately, there’s still time to save! Here are my two tips! Donations Consider giving away any items that you no longer need to the charity of your choice. Not only will this act of kindness during the holidays help clean out your closet, but making charitable contributions before the end of the year is also an easy way to save money on your 2023 taxes. For larger deductions, consider donating your old car. Remember that you will need a written receipt for any charitable donation, regardless of the amount. Accelerate Expenses An effective tax reducing strategy is to pay as many tax-deductible expenses as possible before December 31st, even if they’re not due until next year. Any payments made before the end of the year will be deductible on this year’s tax return. For example, you should consider paying any mortgage payments, property taxes, outstanding tax-deductible medical bills, state, or local income taxes. Although I realize that it can get rather hectic around the holidays, a key tactic to save money and reduce the stress around tax time is to start getting organized now!
