Home to 180 nationalities, Amsterdam is a place that can feel like home for any solo traveler. It's also one of Europe's most walkable (and bike-able) cities, so if figuring out public transportation on your own worries you, Amsterdam has the solution. With an abundance of museums, such as the Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, and Van Gogh Museum, there is plenty of opportunity to leisurely stroll at your own pace.

"Consider any potential over-the-counter medication that you may need to take and pack it with you. Simple over the counter medications from the U.S. are rarely the same in foreign countries, and it’s difficult to read the labels in a foreign language. Better safe than sorry to pack your ibuprofen, some cold meds, antacids or allergy pills if you think they could be needed." World Service Center Team

We are proud to support Little League and Girls with Game. Travel Guard employee Kim K. remembers how important softball was to her daughters, Amanda and Kaite. “Amanda played catcher until she was 17, and Kaite played up until about 15. Softball taught them both teamwork, treating all with respect, discipline, and scheduling, as they both were in multiple sports. As a family we spent a lot of time together traveling and having fun! Wonderful memories!” #LLWS #GWG50

When your dream destination offers unique experiences that you don’t want to miss, like skydiving, mountain climbing or scuba diving, it’s crucial to prepare in order to help enjoy adventure sports more safely. Here are our tips for making the most of your adventure travel: 1. Research your location. Before embarking on your trip, research the activities available at your destination and find the right fit for you. You’ll want to take your budget, skill level and distance from your lodging into consideration before booking your adventure. Be sure to research both the safety of the adventure activity as well as the reputation of the company. 2. Work with the weather. There is only so much control you can have when it comes to the weather during your trip; however, you may increase your chance of sunny days by booking your vacation in your destination’s dry season. Frequently checking the weather for your trip before departure can help you reschedule activities the rain may ruin. 3. Get the right gear. Research the proper gear and attire that may be required for your adventure so you know if you need to purchase anything before your travels and be sure to help protect your baggage with a travel insurance plan. Alternatively, save room in your luggage by checking if you are able to rent equipment from the tour or adventure company you’re traveling with. 4. Get coverage. Many adventure and extreme activities aren’t covered by a basic travel insurance plan. Make sure you have the right coverage by purchasing a plan that doesn’t exclude adventure sports. Travel Guard’s Adventure Sports Bundle removes certain exclusions from applicable coverages to help protect your travel investment. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gsGUMPE5.
