//True, lasting change// requires the 3 Cs. It’s not just about waiting for a health crisis (e.g., obesity, diabetes, heart disease) to force action. Imagine investing in your health the same way you do in your career. #fit4events #fiteventprofs
//Wellness at events// is a commendable goal, and while many of us care deeply about our mental and physical health, few know how to cut through the noise and take consistent, sustainable action. Often, our attempts at improving our well-being feel like New Year’s resolutions—strong intentions that fade within weeks as old habits creep back in. //True, lasting change// requires the 3 Cs: commitment, conviction and consistency. It’s not just about waiting for a health crisis (e.g., obesity, diabetes, heart disease) to force action—it's about being proactive every single day. Imagine investing in your health the same way you do in your career. Small, daily wins today can lead to bigger health victories tomorrow, and eventually, you’re setting yourself up for a longer, more fulfilling life. ✅ Yes, eating wholesome foods, counting macros, practicing mindfulness, fitting in daily exercise, avoiding alcohol, and quitting smoking/vaping are hard choices. They take effort and intentionality, but the //long-term investment// in your future self is worth every bit of discomfort. At my upcoming talk at IMEX on "Biohacking Strategies for Event Professionals", I’ve shared 30 min worth of practical tips tailored for those who are constantly on the go—think traveling 20+ times a year, moving from event to event. I’ve provided actionable insights that you can start implementing immediately. My challenge? Choose just 1-2 new routines from the talk and commit to them for 21 days. Give yourself the permission to invest in this habit and watch how it starts to become second nature. 💪 It’s not about perfection—it’s about progress. Small steps every day add up to transformative results. See you there! https://lnkd.in/gg-NDVvw #fit4events #wellness #biohacking #eventprofessionals #fiteventprofs

Excited for this week! 🙌
Award-Winning Speaker | Event Tech: AI-AV Expert | Host of Events Demystified Pod 🎙️ | #Fit4Events 🏋️♀️
On my way to Phoenix, AZ, for what will be my last big event of the year as an AV production manager and lead. This year has brought so many changes, and I’ll be sharing some of those updates here soon. For now, I’m taking this time in-flight to reflect on the incredible journey I’ve had in the AV production world—deeply involved in every part of the production workflow at Tree-Fan Events. From the first client conversations, RFP processes, and budgeting to vetting partners and freelancers, managing teams, and hands-on tech roles like technical director, on site technical liason, show caller, sound engineer, video director, vMix operator, and virtual/hybrid event producer—I've done it all, and I've done it well - and I say it with modesty, and pride. I’ve never shied away from a challenge and have always aimed to excel in every role I took on. I know I’m not perfect, and I have no illusions that I ever will be, but a drive for excellence is part of my DNA. I give 100% to every project I commit to, and along the way, I’ve built some fantastic relationships—those I can call in the middle of the night for a tech question and know they’ll pick up. I’ve also encountered those who couldn’t handle my intensity, my interconnectedness, or my capacity for diverse projects, and that’s okay. I’ve never been a one-trick pony, and I never will be. I’m fueled by a hunger to learn, grow, and innovate, and that means I’ll always be moving forward. Nothing has taught me more about the value of being comfortable with discomfort than my bodybuilding journey. It’s something I openly discuss because both mental and physical fitness are deeply ingrained in who I am. As I anticipate this next wave of change, I’m excited for what’s to come. For now, I just want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone I’ve met in the AV world, everyone I’ve worked with, served, or connected with. Those invisible strings will always keep us tied together. As I touch down in Phoenix to support Emilynn (Emee) Pumarega, CMP and her team at EJP Events LLC - Event and Meeting Planning for this week’s conference, bringing in my AV team from across the nation, I’m both giddy and anxious—hoping every planned detail falls into place and that every surprise is a good one. ✅ If we’ve crossed paths in the AV world, would you drop a word below? When and where did we work together—if you remember? 👇 I'd love to reconnect and reminisce! #avproduction #avpartner #womeninav #womenintech #womenineventproductions #womeninAI #womeninAI #womenleaders #shakerandmover #wingsofchange

The Confession No #eventprofs nor #entrepreneur will admit to, Yet It’s Embedded in Our Hustle Culture If you’re an entrepreneur, you know the grind—it’s non-stop. You’re a hustler when... you push yourself to the limit, chasing growth and success. I’ve been that way for years. But here’s the thing: the hustle isn’t sustainable without balance. This week was chaotic for me, and I know there are weeks like that for all of us. However, last night, I made the conscious choice to recharge, and I slept for 9.5 hours. 📍 Takeaway: True balance isn’t about avoiding the grind; it’s about creating intentional rest periods so you can continue performing at your best. 📍 Action Plan: ✅ Schedule Recovery: Calendar block your rest time like you would a business meeting—treat it as non-negotiable. ✅ Listen to Your Body: Respect your body and mind’s need for recovery, even if it means adjusting your schedule. ✅ Define Your Balance: Know when it’s time to pause, recharge, and reset. Your success depends on it. Happy recovery Sunday! 🌿 #EntrepreneurLife #BalanceIsKey #HustleAndRest #SelfCareSunday #WorkLifeBalance #RestToGrow #EntrepreneurWellness #MindfulBusiness #RechargeAndReset #RespectTheProcess

When we plan an event, meeting or conference, we invite alllllll these people and want them all to get along and have a great time right? It why we pine over all the details of the space, the agenda, the lighting, the content, and the food. So WHY do we forget the details of beverages for people who don't want alcohol? 38% of the adult population in the US doesn't drink. So why do we leave them out? Thanks to the eloquent breakdown by Alyssa May Hart of OTHR Agency on what it feels like to be a non alcoholic drinker at an event. #topobaby #eventprofs #drIMEX #IMEX24

Google Vids is a new AI-powered video creation tool that simplifies the process of recording, writing, editing, and producing videos all in one place. Step-by-step: Access Google Vids through your Google Drive by clicking "New" > "Google Vids" (note that it hasn’t been rolled out to every account yet). Describe your video concept when prompted to start creating. Customize the AI-generated outline and choose a design style for your video. Edit and improve your video draft using built-in text, media, and audio tools. Pro tip: Upload your own custom media by selecting "Media" in the left sidebar and then clicking "Upload." This personal touch will make your video stand out from those relying solely on stock content. #AInews #AIfeatures #intheAInews #AIhowto
