Job Title: Special Event Security Officer Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA Schedule: On-call; primarily evening/afternoon shifts Availability: Must be available for weekend shifts Pay Rate: $18 - $21 per hour, DOE About Treston Security Services: Treston Security Services provides top-tier security solutions for high-profile events throughout Downtown Los Angeles, including concerts, movie premieres, sports events, festivals, and exclusive gatherings. We are currently seeking skilled and professional Special Event Security Officers to help ensure the safety and enjoyment of attendees, staff, and property at these prestigious events. Position Summary: As a Special Event Security Officer, you will maintain a secure environment by controlling access points, monitoring crowd behavior, and responding to incidents as needed. This on-call role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced event settings. Key Responsibilities: Access Control: Verify tickets, credentials, and identification at entry points to ensure only authorized individuals gain access to restricted areas. Crowd Management: Monitor crowd behavior, proactively identify potential disturbances, and assist with guest directions as necessary. Monitor and Patrol Venue: Conduct patrols of the venue, including entrances, exits, VIP areas, and general seating. Maintain a visible presence to deter disruptive behavior. Incident Response: Respond promptly to incidents, including medical emergencies and unauthorized access, and work alongside venue staff and law enforcement when necessary. Safety Protocol Enforcement: Enforce venue rules and safety protocols, including preventing prohibited items from entering and managing security risks. Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with emergency evacuation plans and assist with crowd evacuation while liaising with emergency services. Qualifications: Prior experience in event security, customer service, or similar roles preferred. Valid BSIS California Guard Card. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced, high-energy environments. Available for evening, weekend, and on-call shifts.
