Today, on this day of reflection and remembrance, we remember the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks. #GroundZero, the site where the Twin Towers once stood, has become a symbol of resilience and rebirth. Trevi Group had the honor of contributing to the reconstruction of this place through its subsidiary TREVIICOS, which built the #foundations for the new #WorldTradeCenter transportation hub. This project not only represented a high-level #engineeringChallenge but also a moral and symbolic commitment to the rebirth of a city and a nation. #TREVIICOS ’s work at Ground Zero is a tribute to the memory of those who lost their lives and a sign of hope for the future. On this day, we join the entire world in remembering and honoring the victims, the survivors, and all those who worked tirelessly for the reconstruction. #NeverForget #TreviSpa #TreviGroup #Soilmec Trevi Group Soilmec Soilmec North America

In recent years, TREVIICOS, a leading geotechnical contractor in the United States, completed a significant dam remediation project involving the installation of a seepage cut-off wall. The Wolf Creek Dam rehabilitation, based in Kentucky, involved the construction of a deep cut-off wall to address seepage issues that threatened the dam's integrity. The project involved installing a 4,000-foot-long and 275-foot-deep seepage cutoff wall using specialized drilling techniques. Treviicos used a combination of Hydromill technology and panel excavation to install the wall through challenging subsurface conditions, including karstic limestone, which presented voids and irregularities that could exacerbate seepage problems. The primary objective of the seepage cutoff wall was to block the movement of water through the dam's foundation, preventing further erosion and reducing pressure on the structure. Treviicos employed a deep-mixing method to create the wall, using bentonite slurry to stabilize the soil and ensure minimal disruption to the surrounding environment. This method allowed for the precise control of the wall's alignment and thickness, ensuring that it effectively sealed off the seepage paths without compromising the dam's structural stability. The project also included careful monitoring and quality control measures throughout construction. Treviicos employed real-time instrumentation and advanced monitoring systems to ensure the cutoff wall's effectiveness and prevent further seepage. The complexities of the Wolf Creek Dam project highlighted Treviicos' expertise in handling challenging geotechnical conditions. Their ability to adapt to the nuances of varying ground conditions and use cutting-edge technology made the project a success, ensuring the dam's long-term safety and functionality. The Wolf Creek Dam rehabilitation stands as a true testament to Treviicos' role in safeguarding critical infrastructure through innovative engineering solutions.
