😎Meet Jean, our dedicated Infection Preventionist at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy! In her role, Jean ensures that our practices protect patients, employees, and volunteers from the spread of infections. She also plays a key role in Employee Health, ensuring everyone has the proper tools and resources to remain protected. 🏫As our Clinical Educator, Jean provides training to new hires and ongoing education to our clinical staff, helping maintain a high standard of care. She’s been with Tri-Cities Chaplaincy for a year in this role but previously worked at our Hospice House. 💜"I live my best life working at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy because the work is meaningful. There are so many opportunities to get involved and volunteer, and I love feeling like I'm part of a team." 🏋️♀️Outside of work, Jean enjoys CrossFit, which she’s been dedicated to for 10 years. ✨Meet Samira! 😎For the past year and four months, Samira has provided essential training and support to our hospice staff and volunteers. She also participates in quality improvement initiatives and supports departments such as Intake and Triage, Administration, and Infection Prevention. Samira collaborates with nurses, social workers, and chaplains to ensure a safe and compassionate environment for our patients behind the scenes. 💜"I'm inspired by my coworkers' passion for their work. I’m truly thankful to be in a place where I feel heard and can have fun while connecting with such diverse, wonderful colleagues and volunteers. I especially love our potlucks and holiday parties—those moments of togetherness mean a lot to me!" 🏔Outside of work, Samira can be found hiking local trails with her kids and experimenting with new baking recipes. ✨Meet Melonie, our Community Clinical Liaison at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy. 💜With over 20 years of experience as an oncology nurse, Melonie bridges the gap between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring that everyone understands the benefits and philosophy of hospice care. She's passionate about dispelling misconceptions and helping families see that hospice is about comfort and dignity, not "giving up." Melonie finds joy in providing relief to patients and families during difficult times. She says, "The relief on their faces when they can focus on comfort and spend time with loved ones is priceless. It’s so rewarding to help them transition from endless medical appointments to being at home with peace of mind." 🚲Outside of work, Melonie is an avid supporter of her two boys, who are active in multiple sports.
