September 15-October 15 is Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, and this month, Triangle's Racial Equity Committee (REC) is celebrating Hispanic and Latinx Americans who are focused on increasing awareness and empowerment for people with disabilities. The REC's posts strive to honor intersectionality and highlight people of color with disabilities whose lives cross over multiple identities and issues ALL at the same time. Through serving individuals with disabilities, we work to help the world realize that we are all people with ability!
About us
Since 1971, Triangle has empowered people with disabilities and their families, growing from a neighborhood nonprofit to a statewide leader of innovative services. We provide individualized employment, residential, health and life development opportunities that help people lead rich and fulfilling lives. Many of Triangle’s cutting-edge services such as TAPS (formerly IMPACT:Ability) and School-to-Career have received national awards and serve as models for other organizations. We continue to move forward through a new community-based day program and our international growth with the Accessible Icon Project, a transformation of the International Symbol of Access.

#ThrowbackThursday to highlight Triangle's softball team, the Bashers! The Bashers had an exciting end to the summer with two amazing wins! They showed off their talents at the Community Game and brought home a win ~ Shout out to Mayor Christenson for throwing the first pitch. The Bashers were also Silver Medal winners in this year's Massachusetts Special Olympics Softball Tournament. Gooooo Bashers! 🥎

#ThrowbackThursday to last Friday when more than 200 members of the Triangle community came together to celebrate another year of hard work, shared successes, and the spirit that has defined us since our founding. We also used the opportunity to thank Coleman Nee for his eight years of service as CEO. He was presented with a compass as a thank you for “all the paths forward” we have found under his guidance. A good time was had by all!
